Staying at Kyna Backwaters was like spending time with family. We were made to feel so welcome from the second we arrived. The ladies in the kitchen - Kochumol and Deepa - were warm and incredibly friendly, and absolutely amazing cooks! We explored the backwaters by kayak and foot - wandering around the village was one of the highlights of our stay. The facilities are stunning but really it was the absolute warmth of the staff that made our time so exceptional at Kyna.

The property is BEAUTIFUL. The pictures are not overselling, at all. The rooms were very comfortable with all the possible amenities. The service was impeccable. The staffs were extremely polite, and very accomodating. A memorable experience!

We stayed at Shalom Beach Residency for 4 days and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms are clean and have all the basic necessities. The location is perfect, and the garden of the hotel that is right on the beach is the perfect place to enjoy an afternoon with a lovely view. Along with the location, the service really stood out! Samuel and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and kind, providing directions, booking taxis for us, and going into town to puck up whatever we needed for our stay - from toiletries to beer. Plus, the breakfast was delicious! We hope we can visit again and reccommend Shalom to anyone!
