The moment I stepped into Malabar Hill Hotel, I felt an overwhelming sense of serenity. Nestled amidst nature, it’s the perfect place for those seeking a calming retreat from the hustle and bustle. The spacious rooms exude warmth, and each is spotlessly clean, offering cozy comforts that make you feel right at home. But what took my breath away was the balcony view. Imagine waking up to the chirping of birds, an expansive forest that stretches as far as the eye can see, with the azure sky above and a tantalizing glimpse of the ocean in the distance. And the pool? Simply a dreamy oasis. At their restaurant, each dish is a culinary masterpiece, with flavors so authentic, you can taste the richness of every spice. A little tip: if you prefer milder flavors, do request them to tone down the spices. My stay was made even more memorable by the trips we took. The Galla Fort exudes historical charm, the tea trip was an enlightening journey into the world of tea-making, and the Kollaghan Lake was a visual feast with its picturesque islands, lively birds, playful monkeys, and yes, we even spotted a crocodile! It was a secluded calm heaven, since it was our honeymoon and this was our last stop in Sri Lanka we needed the calm atmosphere, The manager was super nice and helpful, couldn’t been any better.

    The hotel rooms has the best views to the ocean and Cape Weligama, so you can just watch it for hours from your balcony. The resort is ideal for aurvedic treatments, but its better to come during cooler months and the place has wast open spaces withour AC. The location if perfect for escapes and meditation. Also the resort offers free yoga and meditation classes with the teacher Emil Mendis who has profound knowledge of yogic science and you can ask him different questions.
