The setting is beautiful and the polar bear, natural wood, and totems make a lovely lobby setting. The design of the resort is lovely, though not maintained as well as it used to be.
The location in relation to the view is spectacular and I am sure if you are a keen fishermen this is the place for you however, as we were looking for something as a vacation and not fishing enthusiasts it did not live up to our expectations. The team are mostly very friendly however, there are some who were not very engaging at all. It was amazing to see the fish that were caught and seemed like a very top notch operation from that perspective. Austen the lady behind the bar on our last night is definitely an asset for the resort.
I liked the location of it close to the resort and town.
I am rating just the “budget room for one”, not the rooms in new part of building with sea view. My room, clean, super bed sheets, comfy, parking lot view, but no problem with car noise at all. Location is great for beach walks. I would love to stay in the sea view luxury rooms, during cold rainy days, where i would just watch the beach from room… the part with budget room seems to be from 1957 if i am correct, in good shape.
We loved the Nordic Spa here at the resort. We did the 60 minute massage before the spa and was well worth every penny!
The resort didn't offer late checkout, but they were accommodating in storing the bags. Also the pool attendants were quite nice. The shops were also quite nice, well-curated, and reasonably priced given the location. Common spaces were inviting and well-maintained, with lots of comfortable spots to sit and enjoy the fire in a proper lodge atmosphere. The resort food was fine for the price.
So many amenities, lots of space, extremely kind staff, and tons to do on the property. Bathrooms, room, and overall resort were well kept as well. On our last night we were able to see the Aurora outside!
Location is amazing, staff are friendly and the resort is overall beautifully located with acess to the mountain for skiing. The rental process was smooth and quality of gear was great
This resort is equipped with everything just like a spacious house.
