Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyUnfortunately, our room was located between two other houses. It was very noisy both upstairs and next door. Since everything was made of wood, all sounds were intensified. We had a lot of disturbing noises from both sides and could hardly sleep properly. The staff did try to help us, but unfortunately it was not enough to ensure our satisfaction. For this reason, we still spent the rest of the nights in this restless environment.
Initially there were problems with the drain in the shower, however the staff was able to assist us quickly and efficiently. everyone was very friendly and helpful

NetherlandsThe room was a bit small. The owner couldn't arrange transport to Shala River for us because we booked a hotel ourselves.
The pool was nice and perfect to relax after a travel day, most of the staff was very nice and it was on walking distance of the castle.

BelgiumThe first night before the hike we stayed in a cabin, which was a bit more comfortable. Beds in the hotel room were quite hard and the walls are quite thin with the noise coming from the hall and other rooms.
Very friendly and helpful host. Breakfast was decent.

BelgiumThe room only had one small, high window, which made it hard to air out the room. You can also hear noice from neighbouring rooms, so its not always very quiet.
Nice swimming pool with lounge chairs. There is cafe and restaurant on site. Parking is also very easy!

Great place, very nice pool, beautiful garden - that of the camping as well as that with the restaurant. The camping is spacious and very well organized. I loved the view tower in the middle. The staff is friendly, nice and helpful.

GermanyWe wouldn't recommend the breakfast. Less opportunities for this price. Room was a little bit small especially for three guests.
We liked community of the camping area. The pool was great to cool down. The design of the hotel who was created by the husband is beautiful. For campers I would recommend it!

BelgiumSmall detail, but we paid to leave our luggage there for the Valbona hike, but it was not kept in a separate room or something, just at the reception. Also thin walls, so when you have loud neighbours, the sleep can be not so good.
Very friendly owner who is really helpful with planning trips and helping in general. The hot water was not working in the evening and she immediatly got it fixed. The rest of the staff is very friendly as well.

AustraliaWe loved the property and would recommend, but it’s worth noting it’s a 30 minute walk out of Shkoder town.
This is a lovely campground / hotel owned by a lovely family. Linda and the other staff were all so helpful and kind. It has a pool, view of the Shkoder castle, a bar and a great restaurant. We used this as a base for our Theth-Valbone hike and we were able to book transport through Hotel Legjenda and store our luggage for 3 days. Highly recommend.

Everything was amazing, the service was great the friendly, the room was very comfortable and clean! They have put in so much effort and detail in this place that it feels like you’re staying in a fairytale 🤩 The owners are artists and they have designed the whole Place themselves! You can also see the city’s history in their art pieces! I will definitely come back! Highly recommend!

PortugalThe A/C at bungalows cannot refresh that much the bunker beds. It was too hot, maybe can get better. The breakfast is ok, altough 8€/ person seems too much for the variety of food.
The place is awsome, the details of the campsite are incredible. The individual rooms were perfect for the night. The pool is ok for some refreshment. If I come back to Shkoder I would stay there again. The family who runs the place are very polite and kind. The employees are also very attentive.

United StatesBecause chalets are made of wood, you can hear footsteps of the people above, which could be an annoyance when you are trying to sleep in, while the upstairs neigbors are early birds. But this is a minor inconvenience and is a part of life in a camp.
Although the small gravel access road from a busy street with crawling traffic didn't look promising, the location turned out to be great - our chalet was in the woods, proximity of the river made for a cooler breeze, and the surroundings were quiet. The staff were friendly and helfpful and the cottage very comfortable. We enjoyed the shared kitchen perfect for making coffee and eggs in the morning and the private upstairs patios.

United KingdomLittle tricky to find reception - unclear that campsite reception is same as hotel room one.
Everything on site was very accessible and close together. The hotel rooms were right by the pool and bar area which was great. Lovely pool area with plenty of places to sit and relax. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Great value for what is available. Bike hire was also good value - €5. Good base to explore castle and lake (but a bit further from the centre) very peaceful because of the location!

SwedenHaving iced coffee available at the bar would be a great addition! But it was absolutely amazing - we loved it all.
We had a wonderful stay in the hotel at the camping site. The magical atmosphere of the outdoor spaces around the hotel and the camping made it an unforgettable experience for us. A lot of effort and thought went into designing the beautiful gardens, art installations, and various hang out areas. Combined with the majestic view of the Rosafa Castle and the central pool area, we can only recommend this magical and wonderful haven for all. The room was absolutely fine and very clean.
