Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Bit noisy as on ground floor next to road, plus I was under the impression I had booked a room with a view on the top floor! Some issues with the payment before arrival as they appear to have not updated their website in a while so not the same as booking.com prices.
Location was good as right to bus stop for getting into Salzburg. Excellent facilities. Nice and clean. Good parking if you came by car. Good decor. Modern but homely style.

No paper towels/napkins. More towels for the bathroom. Upstairs unit was warm, but fans were available.

Bathroom was not clean enough for the rating that this hotel apartment already has. The shower was ok but the toilet has not been cleaned good in the past so it was already full of brown spots. Also the humidity inside the room was very high and left no chance for the towels to get dried.
Good equipment, comfortable and clean bed, kitchen accessories, bus stop close to the apartment. We were also allowed to keep the room a few hours after the allowed checkout.

The sound of the traffic if we opened the windows for some air.

Just a suggestion for management - it would be great if you could provide basic cooking supplies at the apartment such as oil, pepper and salt.

A closed cupboard would be useful rather than all open shelves, so my visitor from another room had to look at my underwear. An armchair for relaxing would have been welcome.
Plenty of space and very clean. Kitchen was equipped well enough for a few days' stay and the coffee machine got a lot of use. Plenty of air in spite of warm weather and other reviews that implied otherwise. Close to quick no.4 bus into the city centre. Friendly and helpful manager on site most mornings.

There isa sign on the door of the office: we are open every day from 9 to 1pm. Nobody was there in this interval. We were unable to leave our luggage on the day of departure for a few hours.It's very inconvenient

The very small room, attic sloping roof. Having to prop the portable air conditioner exhaust expandable hose through the window/roof that we couldn't see out of it.
Easy access to transport. Very well equipped. Lots of hooks and storage shelves. Very clean. Lovely staff.

Apartment was located at least 15 minutes by Bus from the city center. Bus connectivity is good but still you have to plan and prepare. But at the end of the day, it was very comfortable stay.
Apartment was very comfortable. Quite big for the size advertised. Bathroom was spacious which is generally not the case. Kitchen had everything that we needed.

The kitchen equipment was a little sparce and it would have been nice to have a sponge or scourer and some cooking oil provided. No toaster.
Lovely clean apartment, good access to buses. There was a slight hiccup on arrival about the bed configuration but this was resolved swiftly and well even though it was a Sunday. Communications fantastic.

Could be nice if the TV will have more programs for kids.
