Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GreeceThe orientation of the room made it too hot to stay in during the day. It was in the last floor and was bathed in the hot sun all day long.
I liked the neighborhood, it was quiet and close enough to the city center.

CanadaOld noisy floors when walking in a room, safety box n/a.
Staff was very nice and tried to accommodate making the stay more convenient (check in time, upgrade, other needs). Fast communication by text/app with hotel management.

United KingdomMy room was cramped BUT no worries, it was bright, had everything I needed and I was comfortable
It was great to stay in one of Vienna's old apartment blocks with its grand stairs, lift and entrance hall, and the Lehrerhaus did a great job adapting parts of it for hotel use. The location was excellent, just a few hundred metres from Museum Quarter and the absurdly grand state buildings of the Ring. The neighbourhood of Josephstadt has lots of amenities and atmosphere (see picture of view from breakfast room/lounge). U-bahn (metro) not far. 24h-access was convenient and the staff were great.

Turkeyat the second time, i stayed in a single room with shower. it was adjacent to another room. so i did hear everything the neighbours talked, even the noise when the plug was put in the socket on the wall which divided the rooms.
nice, clean, spacious room with simple and practical furniture... the neighbourhood is nice and quite with local restaurants, cafes and shops, far from the madding crowd of tourists...

Turkeyrecently i stayed two times in this hotel, first in a single room with shared bathroom. its number was 311. it was located outside the corridor where other rooms and bathrooms were. its door was opening directly to the staircase hall. so, it was hard to reach the shared bathrooms and also it was noisy because of the staircase hall.
clean, simple, with practical furniture, good wifi, polite staff, close to museumquartier (12 min walk)

ItalyWell, it was old, especially the equipment in the bathroom. The shower was stuck and the first night I could not use hot water, the day after they fixed it though. I think that the bathroom should be renovated considering that the price itself for the room is not that low.
I did like the location a lot. it is perfect for discovering the city as it is located walking distance from most attractions. Also the aerea is pretty quiet and feels more local than touristy which I liked.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was perfectly clean and as described. The location is in a good location as you can see all the main sights as you walk towards the city centre. Lots of supermarkets in close proximity too.

CanadaDidn't love the key. We kept getting locked into our room. Noisy hallways one evening but otherwise good stay for a good price. Staff was wonderful.
Location was great. 10-15 minute walk away from the "ring" district in Vienna. The neighborhood was quiet and had great cafes and restaurants nearby.

Czech RepublicThis is a simple, unpretentious hotel: you get what you pay for in terms of aesthetics in the room, although my private bathroom was nicer than the one I have at home. The location is great, and the check-in was easy, just keep in mind the reception closes very early so if you plan to arrive after 6 you need to communicate with them to get a code for the keybox.

United KingdomNothing major - just some areas for consideration. The self catering area closes at 6pm and you can’t access it. We tried but the door was locked. I’m sure this was mentioned to us but we perhaps didn’t pick up on it. We thought 6pm was a little early, especially if you want to prepare an evening meal. Also, there are no kettles in the rooms or nearby in the corridors (there is a fridge on each floor which is helpful). The reception can provide you with a kettle but we only find that later on. It’s a great place to stay even with these comments.
We stayed in this fantastic old building and enjoyed it very much. It’s ideal if you’re on a budget. Yes, it’s quite dated but that is part of the charm. It feels a bit like a hostel but don’t let that put you off. It’s amazingly clean and rooms with en-suite bathrooms are available. The staff that work here, particularly on reception, elevate the place even further. They were really helpful with us with providing early check in and finding us a kettle for our room. It’s so nice when you arrive somewhere after an overnight train journey, are tired and you receive such a pleasant welcome. The location is a little far out from the centre but it has a local neighbourhood charm that we really liked!

SpainVienna is an expensive city, and I chose this accommodation mainly based on price. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. The area around the property was very nice (almost a village feel) with restaurants, a bar and supermarket while still being peaceful. It was also only about a ten-minute walk from the parliament building on the Ring. The staff were friendly, and the room was clean. A hairdryer was provided. The room was quite basic and not too big, but it was fine as a base. I would stay there again.
