Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BulgariaAlthough the breakfast was good, I would recommend a little more variety for breakfast- maybe some eggs not just for an option to be preordered. I didn’t quite like the schedule for cleaning of the rooms because we were with a small child that takes a nap in the afternoon so the cleaning lady couldn’t clean the room properly but Overall we had a good time at the hotel!
It has a great location right in the center of Vienna. The building is very beautiful and holds a spirit of the old history which we enjoyed. The staff was kind and helpful. It was clean.

United StatesMy single room was obscenely small and when I inquired about changing to a double or another single with more square footage the front desk staff balked and reluctantly offered up options at hundreds of Euro's a night extra. Other rooms were available (I checked before asking) and it seemed clear they didn't want to be bothered with my request unless they could more than double the room rate. The front desk staff had a bit of an attitude in my opinion.
A great location and a very nice breakfast.

United Arab Emiratesinternet was completely unusable, as by that I mean it's hard to even load anything. I did a speedtest to be objective - download speed was 0.65Mbps with ping of 558 ms. It wasn't a wifi issue (the connection to the router was strong).
location, clean. Great place to explore Vienna Old Town.

United StatesThe check in process, especially if you arrive after 9 pm, is cumbersome and confusing unless you thoroughly read the long detailed email. While in a great location, actually finding the Pension reception can be challenging.
The Nossek is in an excellent location - the center of the main attractions in Vienna. The outside noise was quiet at night. The breakfast was delicious and the music choice soothing and elegant (classical music). Generally friendly and professional staff.

United StatesThe toilet room was clean but smelled like an old toilet room -- my wife did not like it. The elevator did not work one night when we came back from dinner meaning we had to walk up 6 flights of stairs. Fortunately it only happened that one time. The breakfast room can be quite crowded -- almost too small if every guest decides to enjoy breakfast at same time.
Hotel occupies 3 floors of old building in Vienna's old town on the main pedestrian street -- it was the perfect location for seeing the sights of Vienna. The breakfast buffet was very good with cooked to order eggs if desired. Public parking was less than 10 min walk via mostly pedestrian roads to the hotel.

United StatesThere are is a drawback which may or may not be an issue depending on one's travel schedule. The hotel is located only on the upper floors of the building in which it is housed. While there is an elevator to the lobby area several floors up, the lobby is not staffed 24 hours per day; therefore, if any problems or issues arise after a certain time, there is no one there overnight to be of assistance, and while we were given the phone number of a staff person, we were not aware of this limitation when we booked. (Had this been a small pension, it could have been anticipated, but not in the midst of central Vienna).Because of this, you must carry a key to enter the hotel from the plaza after a certain hour, and then take an elevator and use a key to re-enter the hotel as it is located on the upper floors of a commercial building with shops and other offices on the lower levels. Because it is a walking area, the taxis are some distance away, but our taxi drivers were always helpful in navigating the distance. Because our departure time required that we be at the Vienna airport at 4:00am ,we realized the taxi driver could not access the hotel and there was no one available to assist with baggage. We were advised that he/she would meet us outside the hotel; however, we would have to leave the key at the desk on an upper floor and exit at 3:00am with no way to reenter the building if there was any issue and/or the driver wasn't there. As a result ,and an abundance of caution, we chose to leave the night before and booked our last night at a hotel close to the Vienna airport, which we had not expected to have to do. That was our choice, but we believe it would have been helpful to understand ,in advance, the lack of a 24-hour desk staff and the additional circumstances surrounding an early morning departure, which we had not previously encountered.
The location of the hotel is unbeatable. You are in the heart of the great Graben walking area of Vienna. Step out the door and you can walk to the winter palace, the cathedral, the opera house, restaurants, etc which is why we chose it on this trip to Vienna. The breakfast was fine and the service very polite and helpful. The desk personnel were very helpful as well.

United KingdomThe bathroom was very small. I think the shower space is about one meter by one meter. Also, there is limited space between the sink and the toilet. When I first arrived I didn't realise that the hotel was on the 2nd floor. But the 2nd floor is the same as the 4th floor in the UK, so I ended up climbing a lot of stairs. There is a lift, but I don't like lifts. Saying all that, I would still book this hotel again when visiting Vienna.
I had a single room, and it was ok for a solo person. Tea making was available in the room but not coffee. A wardrobe was supplied for the clothes, and the air conditioning was very helpful as it was hot outside when I was there. The location was perfect. I parked my motorbike on the street close by at no cost. It was quite safe and was never tampered with.

AustraliaThe bed was a little too firm for us.
Hotel Nossek's location was brilliant.. We were able to see so much in such close distance. It helped make our stay in Vienna such a wonderful time & memory. Unfortunately our luggage did not arrive with us & having a few days without it & trying to find it took some precious time away from our days in Vienna. The Hotel staff did their best to help and we appreciated this. The breakfast was excellent.
