Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There's no heating/aircon in the main bedroom of the two bedroom style accommodation, got a little cold in winter. BTW, we appreciated the upgrade but we found the one bedroom double storey one we stayed on our first APX stay, was so exceptional in its layout. (it may have need a little furniture/decor upgrade, but it was clean and functional regardless).
We were upgraded to a two bedroom instead the one bedroom double storey style loft we had last time. The decor in the two bedroom was much much nicer than the 1 bedroom which looked a little older and cheaper (sorry, just being honest). The overall vibe and decor of the two bedroom was spot on.

Clean and tidy overall, however some attention to detail could have been paid towards dust.
Tidy utilitarian rooms that were modern and well maintainted. Very convenient for work accomodation or short term stay.

The tap in the bathroom basin was loose. There wasn’t much hot water. There was some mould in the shower area.

Traffic noise. We are from the country and not used to noise and the upstairs bedroom windows let in all the noise from James Ruse Drive making sleep a little difficult Down stairs in the living area you couldn’t really notice much and wasn’t disturbing but the bedroom area it was prolific. I think the windows need to be double glazed and heavy curtains to stop the noise. It detracted from our stay which was a shame as everything else was great.
Spacious and contained everything you would want. Safe and staff were lovely.

My credit card wasn't working at check-in so while I had already paid for the room, I wasn't able to check in until I went away and got cash for the security deposit. I couldn't use eftpos. It had to be credit card or cash. A bit inconvenient on this occasion & the man on reception was not nice about it. Pillows on all beds were extremely high/thick and almost un-sleepable. Luckily all my kids brought their own pillows but I was not so lucky and spent 3 days with a sore neck. BYO pillow highly recommended. Room was on 3rd floor with stairs only (no lift). This wasn't really an issue for us but worth mentioning for others.
I was travelling with 3 teenagers for a swim meet at Sydney Olympic Park. The room was good for our 3 night stay. Room was clean, car parking was easy. Kitchen was well-equipped. Walking distance to the pub and to Woolies.

the front of the place looks abit old and run down and the location seemed sort of sketchy. the guy at the front desk seems abit over worked/depressed but he could of been just having an off day.
i read the other reviews on the way there and they were so mixed/mostly bad so i wasn’t sure what to expect but i was honestly pleasantly surprised our room was great, its was clean and modern and spacious.

Stairs to go to bed, no toilet upstairs, stairs to go down to carpark. Very uncomfortable lounge. As we are both elderly we both had trouble getting around the room.

The one complaint is that our room was on the main road and the traffic noise was intense. Downstairs it was ok but in the bedroom it was sooo loud! I found earplugs and they didn’t help.
The property was great. Ask to be in a room that doesn’t face the main road.
