Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Don’t like the steep sloping of the car park , I suppose can’t be help because of mountainous terrain of Tasmania . Our room shower , the curtain is not long enough to stop water dripping outside of the alcove .
Our room was adequate , next to a big kitchen and laundry .Nice view from Our window overlooking the Tasman Bridge. Bed is good , adequate warm room . Access from outside to our room on same level . Staffs friendly and helpful .

Room and bedding was clean, as was the shower. It was great to just duck downstairs for a pub meal and some entertainment. There was no noticeable noise from downstairs in the room, but there was traffic noise. All in all, the Beltana was great value for $$. I would consider it again in the future.

The room was so very dusty, you could see the dust n the walls, skirting boards, power points and other surfaces. It triggered my hayfever greatly.

The fan stand is broken - was so hot, like we are in sauna room.

No extra pillows in room and no hair dryer. I didn't ask for these either so perhaps if I asked they could have been provided.
View from the room was spectacular. Meals at the in-house restaurant were fantastic.

No air cons/ heat pumps and I felt a bit rushed to leave for them to clean the room. I drove somewhere and left my luggage there to pick up at 950am. When I arrived back to pack my car, the cleaner told me she was waiting for me to get my stuff out and it was only 9:45am. I had to politely ask her to give me the last 5 minutes and she came back before 10am; at 9:59. She was a lovely lady and understood. She told me she needed to be somewhere to clean another place by 10:30am and I felt bad for her for not having much time in between. During my stay I was actually walking into the hallway periodically to get some fresh air and cool down and had wet towels around to step on and douse myself with cool water to feel comfortable. I was starting to panic a bit as the room was $100 and I could also hear the horse racing on tv. It had just been renovated apparently and I was feeling hot and uncomfortable. I did luckily find a fan in the cupboard that (on the highest temp even) wasn’t that cooling. I lived though! The temperature exceeded a normal Tassie day though. Had lots of cold showers.
Really great staff and privacy. Great view. It was a magnificent day too to see the Tasman bridge in the beautiful sunshine

Rooms are a little hot but the management are looking into fixing that issue.
Location was excellent. Staff are great. All our requests granted. And the staff are open to suggestions to make any improvements.

The property is right on the highway and after several nights the sounds from the traffic did start to impact us.
The location was easily accessible to the city with bus stops just outside the accomodation. We had a lovely view of the river. It’s just a short walk down to the pier with a lovely walk around it and into nearby shops and cafes. The room was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed.

My room was facing the highway which meant a little noise but that's luck of the draw and it really wasn't too bad, I just struggle to sleep with any noise!
Flexible check in and communication was great. Room was clean and warm with everything I could need with a very comfy bed that knocked me right out!

Smoking is allowed at entry to the accommodation area. This hotel appears to have permanent residents that pop out for a cigarette at the entrance. Not a big deal but if you're a non smoker it's not a pleasant experience when you return to your room after a day out.

Rooms are fairly old considering the building history but it can be maintained better for accommodation.

Shower could have been cleaner.
Room was as expected for the cost. Small but bed was comfortable and linen and towels good. We had a lovely view out to the harbour.
