Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaRoom was a little snug, bed too hard for me, but that’s a personal preference. We did ask for a quiet room and our room was opposite the men’s bathroom and close to kitchenette which was noisy in the morning but otherwise okay
Location was great,. Onsite parking was great and closeness to light rail a bonus.

Well placed in town. Very much a "uni/student" vibe. The rooms are small but was adequate for a budget accommodation. The bed was quite comfortable and my room was quiet.

AustraliaThe double bed, shared bathroom and breakfast facilities might be unappealing for some, but they were super clean and met our needs of somewhere to sleep, shower and make a cuppa and toast.
Good value for money. The shared bathroom facilities were clean and heated, so comfortable as the temperature dropped. The rooms have central heating, so we didn't use the quilt at night, even opened the window to regulate the temperature.

AustraliaI was on the 7th floor, and there was a kitchenette available for guest use. It was very clean, and there were a toaster, a jug, and a microwave for guest use. It's not easy to actually cook anything in a microwave, so I would have liked to have a hot plate to use (with a provided frying pan and a saucepan). I recently stayed at an accommodation (in Bali) with a really excellent kitchenette: there was a convection hot plate, and an electric saucepan (sort of like a rice cooker, but usable to cook anything: such as I was able to cook curried tofu). It was also very cold in the kitchenette, so not easy to hang around to meet other guests. All of the gadgets - toaster, jug, microwave - had a safety switch that had to be activated to use them, such that they would automatically switch off if left on. Perhaps there could be some kind of heater like that, with an activating switch, to allow a short period of heating, and then automatic turn-off in case a guest left the heater on (wasting electricity). With no tables in the rooms (well, not in mine), the kitchen had some tables to sit at to use laptops, etc. But it was too cold in the kitchenette for sitting there to do anything.
1) I liked the room heating: easy to adjust, and nice warm ambience (without fans stirring up the room as with reverse-cycle heating). 2) I liked that there was a bathtub in the bathroom near my room. I have a back problem, so it was nice to soak in a hot bath. 3) I liked that, after check-out, it was no trouble to store my luggage in the office until late in the afternoon.

MalaysiaNo heater in room, prolly it’s because it’s not winter yet, but I wish it could be turned on, 10 degrees at night was cold enough for me.

AustraliaIt would have been wonderful if I had a kettle in my room :) The bathrooms and showers are all shared - but it was quite tidy with guests being thoughtful of each other.
The accommodation centre was conveniently located next to a light rail station - taking only 7minutes or so to get to Canberra CBD. The rooms are tidy with heaps of storage space for clothing + clean drawers as needed.

AustraliaHeating system
The place is good and has a TV and comfortable bed, located in the middle of Canberra just only for 110 AUD. So it is indeed reasonable, but in my room, the heating system is not reliable, so that is the only concern. Just remember, shared washrooms, not private ones.
