There was no bed head on the bed which was a little weird and no table in the room which made it feel a little empty.

There really wasn't anything we didn't like.

We had a wonderful weekend at Flowerdale estate. The grounds were lovely for a winter walk and the room was spacious and comfortable. The property itself is a treat - around every corner there is something quirky to delight. While it gives the appearance of stepping back in time, the facilities provided are modern and comfortable. There is a pool, gym and tennis court. The breakfast, which was included in the cost of the room, provided many options, including gluten free. We ate at the restaurant and had a delicious meal which was not overpriced. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodated any request. We would highly recommend Flowerdale Estate for a enjoyable country getaway.

The location was very quiet. The rooms were large with a bathtub. I had dinner the the restaurant onsite and was pleasantly surprised by the presentation and quality of the food. The state ground were immaculately groomed and the service was good

We could hear the people in the room next to us very clearly. It took away from the experience.

Communication around the light festival was confusing. Did not really appreciate being forced to buy a ticket for something we didn't request, or were actually able to enjoy.

The standard room we booked looked a lot worse than the photos. There was a lingering unpleasant smell, and unfortunately was not good value for the cost. The breakfast buffet had very few options. Unfortunately, the person in reception when we arrived, did not seem to mind that we did not like the original room. Nothing was offered to make our stay better and for the fact that our original room smelled bad. On check out, the person at reception was a lot more friendlier but still, nothing was offered.

After seeing the standard room we booked, we were not very pleased with the way it looked, the cleanliness and the smell. After that, we paid for a better room, one of the glamping tents. The tents were absolutely amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. The actual grounds of the hotel were incredible, it was lovely to see the animals, walk around and enjoy nature.
