Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Pool by the main road so it was a little noisy. Hard sunbeds, no facilities by the pool, had to walk through the restaurant. Extremely noisy when someone in the room above or beside took a shower.

Despite booking a superior king room for 3 nights and paying close to $1000 we were initially allocated to a standard room on level 1 at the back of the property which was dark and had a view of a driveway ramp of the carpark for tall building next door. Once we complained at desk we were moved to another room on level 7 with outward view of city.
Good central location. Mid-day checkout.

The bed doesn't feel very comfy, especially the pillows. And also, places under the objects or the bed aren't clean enough, there is dust obviously.

No gym. No privacy while swimming and people could see from the bar. I would suggest that an aboriginal art piece cover the window section of sight of the pool . No gym at the location and my tv didn’t work to view programs.

The staff has terrible communication , no phones working, didn’t get my room cleaned for 2 days even after asking . Got told to clean it myself .
Location , food wasn’t bad , pool was ok . Bed very comfortable.

I had a pleasant stay at this centrally located hotel. Its prime location made it easy to access key attractions and amenities in the area. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and provided a restful night’s sleep. The breakfast spread was good with variety of options to. What stood out most was the attentiveness of the staff — always courteous, responsive, and ready to assist, which truly enhanced the overall experience.

Location, price has been always been pretty good. I hope it doesn’t get ridiculous now it’s Marriott.

I'm not a big fan now of air-conditioning because of my asthma and I also picked up a chest infection walking around the city. But yeah there's not much to not dislike about the place. Thanks for the comfortable stay 😊
The staff was understanding and friendly I will recommend that the hotel courtyard Marriott to friends and family members anytime they're in town looking for the best hospitality management that I've experienced in the courtyard by Marriott. Things are getting a bit warn out, can hear water from other areas running at night and early hours. Rusty lamps, tv had dropped in its case on the wall so sat on a slant. Was unable to order breakfast for the room as was expected to go to breakfast buffet, not the best option when payed for this and late check out.
Position for event we attended was great.

The two bed side lamps and the phone didn't work and it took a few days to fix since our stay coincided with the weekend and a Public Holiday which meant that the maintenance staff were not onsite. But the problems were fixed as soon as they got back.
Great service provided by the front desk staff. Big shout out to Rio (in particular) - friendly, professional, helpful and efficient.
