Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe Grounds, to walk around, to me, were a bit bland. Mainly large older trees and grass. Not a large area either. The property has been around for many years, so something of an established garden with Camelias, Azaleas etc would have been nice.
The rooms were excellent, especially the under-floor heating in the bathroom, and the evening meal and service was wonderful

AustraliaThe guest house and rooms were stunningly beautiful and elegant. The included breakfasts were great, however it was the quality of the dinners we had on both nights of our stay that blew us away. The gardens were also stunning and the staff were wonderful. One of the nicest places we’ve stayed in and excellent value for money.

AustraliaA beautiful stately home with a small number of guest rooms. Our room was large and comfortable and furnished in keeping with the age of the property. Dinner is also available and of a high standard and accompanied by their own quality wines. Perfect for a country getaway.

AustraliaThe seating in our room. There were two dining chairs and small table. Would have loved an armchair. We did sit in the hall in the afternoon, but watching TV on an upright chair, is not good. There was enough room for two small armchairs.
We had both evening meal and a breakfast, both very good. Loved the historic building, with the magnificent hall. Great to have a fridge in the room, as were travelling, and have our own food needing a fridge. Also had a small freezer.

AustraliaNothing to complain about.
Beautiful older style traditional country homestead, warm welcoming and attentive staff, exceptional food quality (thinking of the steak in particular) along with an appealing range of well priced Petersons wines on offer. A great package.

AustraliaUnfortunately, the Guesthouse does not serve dinner on Mondays, which was disappointing, but we knew that soon after we booked it and decided to go anyway. However, a limited Light Bites menu is available and what we had was beautifully presented and delicious.
The Guesthouse is delightful, with beautiful views. We received a very warm welcome from the staff. Our room was lovely, particularly the bathroom which was supplied with very nice toiletries. We enjoyed a delicious antipasti platter and cheeseboard in the evening. The complimentary wine-tasting was a great bonus! Breakfast was excellent. Overall, we felt that the Guesthouse provided great value for money compared with other places we have stayed. Would definitely recommend!

AustraliaNothing. We would have loved to stay two nights but it was booked out for a wedding.
We loved our stay at Peterson’s. From the moment we arrived we had exceptional service from the staff. We chose to dine in the in house restaurant and was not disappointed. The included breakfast was also very generous and delicious. The two meals were in two different dining rooms and both had lovely ambience. We left very relaxed, with a complimentary bottle of wine and would highly recommend others to stay.

AustraliaWould have preferred a nice sourdough bread with breakfast or some wholegrain options, rather than plain white bread.
Comfortable and spacious room and lovely spa bath. Very good restaurant serving Peterson's wines, which we enjoyed at excellent prices. Also enjoyed the wine tasting. This was our second visit, and we will recommend to friends.

AustraliaBeautifully kept, quiet and comfortable. A lovely vinyard guesthouse with comfortable beds and great staff. There is no air conditioning but ceiling fans and fly screens made our spacious room very comfortable. We stayed on Valentines night and the meal and ambiance were well worth the price.

United KingdomWe arrived on a Monday and it transpired that this was the chefs day off so no diner available in the restaurant. We really wanted to immerse ourselves in the pleasant surroundings of the property so didn’t want to go out by car to find a restaurant- the member of staff on duty could not have been more helpful and provided soup, antipasto and a cheese board as well as deserts to make a very enjoyable evening meal for us complete with local wine - this was excellent service
Lovely Edwardian property, big rooms, large bathroom lovely ambience and communal lounge, veranda and outside dining area. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and helpful. Easy to find and plenty of parking - highly recommend this place.
