Nothing! But I'd love to see this place in the summer/ on season because it looks like it would be such a fun place to be with many people.

River Run Lodge is such a gorgeous place to stay. Lots of attention to detail and the communal areas are well stocked and super comfortable. The location is stunning, with enough little places to hang out and enjoy the beautiful surrounds. Beds were comfy and room was warm. Loved staying here and will definitely return.

Cabin walls very thin so could hear all that was going on next door.

Gorgeous outlook, delicious food in tavern and lots to do. Very family oriented. Also loved that we could take our dog and he was allowed to sleep in the cabin with us.

Noise-sensitive people should bring earplugs as you can hear the neighbours snoring loudly

Camp kitchen could do with a bit of cleaning, and the people in the room next to us were up late chatting and we could hear everything so kept us awake.

Nice location, good setup, food was good. Beds were comfortable.

The seafood pie wasn’t a pie, it was mash potatoes with a little bit of seafood. Wasn’t enjoyable. And a positive note, the burger was great.

Location, cabins and staff were fantastic! So helpful and super customer service.

A great hideaway in a magical setting
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple
    • Family Room
    • Stayed 9 nights

Over our 9 day stay, no service was offered to change sheets or towels. I'm sure had I asked, it would be provided. Only bunk beds are available. Noise easily travels between cabins, but mostly guests went to bed at a reasonable hour and were considerate of others. Bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper and have a snorer in the next cabin!

Location was superb for visiting southern Tasmania. It's a very serene spot on the Esperance River, in natural bushland yet easy access. The breakfast was a nice surprise - always a choice of cereals and spreads. Sometimes milk, juice and bread. Bring your own supplies to be certain. The camp kitchen facilities are supberb! Board games, books and TV (for cricket) were added bonuses. Tavern on site has a limited menu, but is reasonably priced in a very relaxed environment. We ate there several times and were not disappointed.

The only thing really would be a double bed rather than a single bed but all in all it doesn’t really matter. Beds were clean and comfortable!

Neither the heater in the room, nor on the bathroom worked, so I had to go to bed early after my evening shower, to get warm.

That we couldn’t stay longer. Might add some small solar lights to the guest/lodge parking area. Some people were having trouble parking at night eg. Couldn’t tell how far away they were from posts etc.

Loved the tavern on property! Also the family/kitchen areas. This made for a great, recharging the parents, holiday! I wish we booked for more nights!!

    Nothing!

Absolutely loved this place. Great outdoor area right by the water to soak in the sun coming though. Cabins and bathrooms were extremely clean. Beds were comfortable with multiple heaters in the room. Bathroom very modern with a nice hot shower. The tavern had a cosy atmosphere to it with great decor. And friendly staff!

Can’t fault anything. The walls between lodge rooms don’t reduce a lot of sound but we had expected that.

    None whatsoever

It is in a relaxed, waterfront location. Very quiet but only a quick drive to the shops and cafes in Dover. The cabins and toilet/shower facilities are clean and modern. The beds are comfortable. The tavern offers drinks and dinner, which you can enjoy outside with prime water views. Guests can use the kayaks, and it is a great location to explore the southeast of Hobart including Hartz Mountains, Hastings Caves, and the wineries of Huon Valley. And it's very easy on the budget.
