We were able to have the buffet breakfast on a Sunday but wasn't available to paying guests thar we're on a tour bus This was poorly handled by there staff so we ended up eating elsewhere

I couldn't find the tv remote in the room. We were also given only 1 swipe card for the door but we needed an extra 1 for the electricity in the room, every time we left the room and took the swipe key out of the wall that turns on all the lights, the air con, tv and lights would switch off leaving the room quite hot when we would return.

A couple of the lights in my room were not working. Minor construction work going on around pub. Pool is facing the car park, which does not make it inviting. No wifi.

Room was spacious, clean and neat. Had all the conveniences you might need for a short stay. Location was handy. Property has a pool. Pub was open for dinner, which was good as there are very few places to eat in Derby. Enclosed car park for safety - big fences and gates.

Room was old poor amenities, dark . Card didn’t work sometimes to get in and out. Manager was unhelpful and poor attitude.

Admin only gave us 1 swipe card for the room. The other couple that booked a room next to us had the same issue. There were occasions I had to leave the unit and family stayed in bed or stayed back to relax. The accomodation had electric gates so having to get the others to open the gate both ways for me to leave and return was inconvenient. Also, having only one card the rooms are hot when you all return at the end of a day out sight seeing. It’s Derby its bloody hot!!! The aircon in the pub wasn’t working for our duration of the stay it was cooler outside than in the pub.

The unit had its own washing machine and dryer and a fully fenced area to keep the hire car safe with security gates. Derby is pretty unsafe at night so it was pleasing to know it was locked away.

I booked here so I can go swimming in the pool as that was my plan for the afternoon which I was so looking forward to. Then when I went swimming, I wad only in there for less than 10 minutes and go told that the pool was getting treated, the sign fell off the gate. Wish they could of organised to get the pool treated another day, spoilt my afternoon. Also wanted to use the washing machine to wash my swimming clothes and towel, but couldn't get it working.

Management and staff, could have been friendlier. They do work in hospitality so they should show visitors their good side.

When we let the manager know about the bed I was sleeping in was broken and one of the staff took a photo of it. Also about the ants in the rooms, all he said we cannot do anything about it until after the weekend and we arrive there Wednesday evening. Was a bit disappointed about management.

It catered well with accommodation and most of the staff were friendly.
