Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandThe bathrooms were old and dated and nobody really likes a shower over three bath. The reception staff were mostly nice but there was just one who was quite rude and unwilling to help.
Pool was great. Room was clean and spacious. Amazing location.

AustraliaIt is getting a little tired and the bathroom needs a refurbishment desperately as it is so well used it feels dirty even though it’s not. The room is not small but has too many doors and rooms and nooks and crannies. If you opened the bathroom up and the area where the cupboard is it would feel so much bigger and nicer … new carpet or floating floor with a rug and better lighting ajdbit would feel so much better!
Great centrally located and great breakfast and value for money. It was cosy and pretty neat. Nice toiletries.

New ZealandAsked for a quiet room, but received one on level 6 with a bathroom whose cistern made an ongoing noise once flushed. There was no door between the bedroom and lounge to cut out the noise. The old-fashioned bathroom required users to step over the bath to get into the shower. The light switches were confusing. No doctor was linked to the hotel. Dinner appeared to be in a noisy bar. Our room was promoted as including breakfast, which was subsequently offered to other guests at $1 per day.
The large room, including lounge and kitchenette, is excellent value. The location is excellent. The housekeeper was very obliging.

United KingdomThe decor was a bit tired. As there are two sections to the hotel with two co-joining covered bridges it was a bit of an effort to use the pool at the top of the other tower block.
The property was in a great location near to great restaurants and theatre area.

AustraliaI would have liked a better explanation about the $100 extra that was put onto the room as security. It should’ve been explained that the $100 was added to the charge of the room. I would have preferred a separate amount so I could see it be refunded afterwards as a separate amount. Also should’ve been advised about the entrance to use after hours. Initially I thought I was locked out until I could see a side entrance - just made me panic for a few moments

AustraliaThe bathroom was an odd layout. Clean and marble appointed, but I continually hit my ankles and feet on the toilet to get into the shower / spa bath. The spa was pretty good though - 2 & 1/2 jets out of the 4 were working. Water pressure from the shower head could improve.
In an excellent location near theatres, cafes and restaurants especially China Town, the Stamford Plaza is an excellent older style lux hotel. There are 2 towers. I stayed in the one with restaurants and bar downstairs that you cross a laneway to get to. The main tower has reception on ground with the gym and pool on the 16th top floor. The gym was well equipped and clean although there are no free weights (dumbells, kettlebells etc), but good for cardio with treadmills, steppers and a rowing machine. There are also fixed weight machines such as lat pulls, leg press, rows, shoulder/pec press etc. I didn't try the pool this time but it looks lovely. Next time. Harry's Bar downstairs has a happy hour from 4pm-6pm with discounted house spirits, beer and wine, which was a pleasant break after shopping and exploring the city. Robes and slippers are a nice touch too. Beds were very comfortable as were the feather down pillows. The rooms were huge, and the kitchens well equipped with stove top (but no pots or pans so BYO), dishwasher, bar fridge with mini bar, and kettle toaster, crockery etc.
