Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaTight squeeze to get into the bed. Kettle had been cleaned with something that made tea and coffee taste foul.
Spotlessly clean, breakfast basket was incredible, more than enough for 2 people

The property looks like a family cottage and when we walk in, it looks like a cosy and well maintained home. Love the deco and welcoming gifts in the room. The room is very comfortable and clean. Everything is self check in with instructions by the owners/property manager on how to check in. Breakfast was provided, had a big living room connected with the kitchen where you can mingle with other guest during dinner/breakfast time.

AustraliaThe bed in our room was very uncomfortable as were the pillows - there were no options for thinner pillows. Being an older house the noise through the front hallway past our room was disruptive at times so I’d recommend booking a room at the back or upstairs.
Property is beautifully presented and styled.

A Perfect Stay in a Charming Vintage Cottage We absolutely loved our stay at this beautifully maintained vintage cottage. The property was spotless and full of character. Check-in was seamless with clear instructions provided in advance. Our room was spacious, tastefully furnished, and included a lovely ensuite bathroom. It had all the amenities we could ask for, making our stay very comfortable. One of the highlights was the thoughtful breakfast bundle—it had everything we needed to start our day right. We truly wish we had stayed another night. Highly recommended!

AustraliaWent to the common room to have breakfast and someone had eaten my yogurt and left the half empty pot there 🙁
This is quite possibly the best accommodation I’ve stayed at in Launceston and I travel there for work quite often. The place has all the necessary amenities and the attention to detail is incredible. Would 10/10 stay again

AustraliaA beautifully restored Inn located high up on the side of the hill overlooking Launceston. Each room is themed and beautifully decorated. We had the Lorelai room (a tribute to the tv series Gilmore Girls who owned an inn of the same name). Breakfast was fantastic. The Inn is a short walk (quite steep) to town where pus and restaurants.

From the moment I arrived, I was truly impressed. A personalized breakfast box with my room name on it was waiting in the shared fridge, filled with generous options: granola, cereal, eggs, bread, butter, peanut butter, jam, yogurt, fresh fruit, and a variety of milks including soy, almond, oat, and cream. Gluten-free options were also available. An egg cooker and toaster allowed guests to prepare breakfast at their own pace, creating a lovely opportunity to gather and connect around the dining table. In my room, a thoughtful welcome basket greeted me with beer, cheese, crackers, ginger beer, and plenty of coffee and tea. Every detail was carefully considered, from the beautifully decorated rooms to the eucalyptus-infused tissues. Everything was immaculate and inviting. A truly delightful stay in every way!

Excellent value for money, we loved the extra homey touches. Like a breakfast basket, help yourself when you're ready , topped up daily, fresh eggs you could have at lunch. The communal dining room was lovely we got to meet other travellers not just stay in our room, and books to use whilst staying. Lovely wing back chairs in our room. Loved the old world charm but with all the modern touches. We were in the Delilah room we'll be back.
