Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The location, staff, decor, scent/smell. It was beautiful and in a great location. The staff were so lovely too. Would definitely stay here again. We didn’t have breakfast included so can’t comment on this aspect.

Location was excellent, right behing Burg square. Room and hotel itself are beautifully decorated-each room is different. Rooms were spacious with a large comfy bed and modern bathroom. Staff take greeting very seriously-they give a tour through the hotel. They were also very accomodating-any question you have gets answered tight away.

United KingdomReally hard to find fault. Maybe a couple more options for breakfast? - porridge or options for a cooked breakfast? But I am being picky.
A wonderful location for a beautiful hotel. Lovely spacious room, with an old-fashioned, historic feel - artwork, furniture, internal features. The lounge on the first floor is a stunning rococo masterpiece. Nice swimming pool and sauna. Staff incredibly welcoming, engaging and helpful.

United KingdomThe shabby chic look is overdone. Some furniture needs reupholstering, windows need painting, the hole in the stairs fixing and MOST OF ALL fix the air con. At this price to have no air con in unseasonably hot weather with noisy extractors/other people’s air con units outside your window is unacceptable. We reported it four times and it was still not fixed. Some lack of sleep as a result. Big problem.
Location, excellent staff, especially the lady on reception and Lionel to breakfast manager. Breakfast amazing and reception super helpful.

A nice boutique feel and very close to the city centre. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of food. There is a lovely grand 1st floor reception room.

United KingdomIf I had to be pushed for anything negative the only really minor things would be the paintwork in the room was looking a little bit tired by my personal standards but it does not affect your stay in any way.
Great location, reception staff are terrific, great local knowledge. Breakfast was lovely and again, super staff. We had room 41 pink room, great themed room, wife felt like a princess in the bed😂😂 Reception area is fab, lounge upstairs is exquisitely decorated and lovely area to chill for a bit. Pool and sauna are a nice extra to have after a long day on your feet. We thought it was good value for money compared to similar hotels we’ve experienced in places like Paris, Amsterdam, London.

LuxembourgThe bathroom in our room was tiny with a sloped ceiling. We didn't have a shower but only a bath to shower in without any screen. For 1 night it was ok, but not for longer staying.
Great location. In the historic centre beside the old fish market and just a few hundreds meeters away from the noisy tourists. The lounge area on the 1st floor is a gem. The room was large with a comfortable bed.

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn’t like about the hotel.
The breakfast was delicious & freshly prepared each day. Lionel in the breakfast room went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience & ensured we had breakfast on our last morning even though our pick up was very early. The ladies who serviced our rooms also did an excellent job with such a friendly attitude.

United KingdomNothing worth mentioning.
The location was wonderful, the room was great and the hotel fantastic. One building dated from 1618 and contains a rococo salon which is used as the guest lounge with an honesty bar. To sit in here and have a drink is an amazing experience. in a building this of this age. Yes perhaps some of the rooms may have some awkward arrangements where doors and the bathroom were shoehorned in but given the age of the building that is to be expected, but the overall experience to us was a place that was nice to come back to (also the breakfasts were really nice as well).

United KingdomThere was a piano in main lounge area opposite our room that a couple of times people played, not very well which was a bit annoying but that is all.
Room was great, lots of space, comfy bed and view of the canal. Breakfast had loads of choice with freshly cooked eggs and lovely fresh fruit salad.

The hotel retains a timeless vintage European vibe with an emphasis on service. The staff take pride in the hotel. The breakfast was lovely and quiet. We liked the honor bar in the ballroom area. The hotel was fully decorated for Christmas. We would stay here again for more than a short stay. It is a gem. Great location for the Christmas market and just to wander the town.
