One thing I really dislike is that there's no internet in the room, only in the common areas. They close the lounge room very early… but maybe this helps maintain a good level of tranquility.

I really enjoyed my stay at Jeugdherberg De Peerdevisser. I stayed for a whole day just to rest, and it was a good choice. The hostel is spacious, in a good location, surrounded by greenery. The room was a good size for a five-bed dorm. The bathroom is in the room. I'm not a big fan of this, but it's fine. I mean, if another guest decides to take a shower at 2 a.m., it disrupts everyone else's rest. I prefer a separate shower and bathroom. There are also bathrooms in the common areas. They offer a good-value breakfast. Plus, you can safely store your bike. And it's not too far from the beach. Staff is super friendly.

We stayed in a family room for two nights. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. We also had the offer dinner which was inexpensive and complete with a starter (vegetable soup) and desert. The breakfast (included in the price) is the standard breakfast (nothing fancy). The bar was very inexpensive with a very good selection of Belgian biers.

The room wasn't extremely clean, the table was dirty of coffee stains, there were holes in the bed sheets. It was ok to stay there for one night.

It's a nice place located in the quiet area. The breakfast was good. Please mind you need to bring your own towel and soap (or rent/buy at the reception)

The rooms have heaters but no AC or fans. you need to bring your own towel, or you can rent one from them and the only hygiene item provided is toilet paper, there is no soap in the hand washing sink but they warned you in a previous email, which is completely ok. The only really bad thing is that there are not enough power outlets, in a room for 4 people there were only 2 and they are difficult to access.

The hostel is well located (15 min walk from the beach), clean, they provide good quality bed linen and have blankets. It is a youth hostel, it was full of teenagers but it was not noisy and we were able to have a great night's sleep. The breakfast is also good, with several types of bread, cereal, yogurt, cheese and salami. They also have a bar with a good variety of drinks. The bathroom is clean and individual, the bath area is separate from the toilet, which helps in shared rooms. They have safes but you need to have your own padlock

The sand everywhere in the room and the fact there wasn't a window we could leave open when we went to sleep. We didn't like the idea of leaving the patio door open.

Evidence of some mould on the bathroom ceiling that has either been treated but not yet painted or is still present. Noisy guests outside at 3am but not the fault of the hostel.

Easy check in, good breakfast, good water pressure, close to town for beach access. Staff knowledgeable for food recommendations.

The missing door between the sink_entrance area and the dorm beds. I had expected for the rooms to be cleaner and my sheets had holes in them; compared to hostel in other European countries it is quite expensive for what you get. Still ok if you're planning to spend most of your time outdoors

It was really cold in the room, we used the radiator, but still cold. There could be a bigger variety for breakfast.

The room was basic but clean. The breakfast was better than expected, even had cheese and cold meats, there were lots of sweet options and good enough coffee. Ample parking right outside is convenient and only 15 minutes walk to the beach. Staff seemed friendly and helpful.

Our visit was at the beginning of February when the temperature outside was just above zero during the day and below zero during night. Upon our arrival the room was ice cold with the radiator turned off. We turned it on thinking it might heat up the room before we go back to sleep. Unfortunately it didn’t it. When we informed the staff in the morning they were very apologetic as they had forgotten to turn on the heating for us. Just something to keep in mind when visiting during the colder months.
