Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMy only gripe was the room needed a better black out from the outside lights which unfortunately affected my sleep. The wooden slats look nice but don’t do the job

Hong KongWe were charged when we asked for extra tea bags (EUR 14), and were not informed that we would be charged.
Ada and Vonty at reception were excellent and a credit to the hotel. They gave us a great free upgrade when I asked for a desk in the room in order to allow me to work. They did their best, which was very good indeed, to make sure that our stay at the hotel was great.

GermanyIt came to our attention that our neighbor was bothered by our television volume, which we regretted. In general the rooms are not very soundproof (understandable for an old building), and it would be good to make guests aware up front to keep noise to a minimum as a courtesy. While we had a great experience at dinner in the restaurant, we couldn’t say the same for the breakfast; the buffet options are nice enough, but for €39pp I expected a bit more in terms of a la carte menu items (eggs Benedict or something) and more beverage options. The nespresso machine in the room was a welcome amenity but for some reason only decaf was available during our stay.
Gorgeous boutique hotel with fun interiors, lovely staff, fantastic pool and wellness facility, and great restaurant and bar. Central location, super well connected to everything on foot and by transit. Every service interaction was extremely pleasant, with special mention for the friendly and capable bartender. The bar area is gorgeous and they make fantastic cocktails. (After hours there is an honesty bar in the lobby which also a nice touch.) The room was small but luxurious, with a five star bed, pillow options, and a large bathroom with full bathtub, double sink and good shower. Very comfortable and a welcome refuge after a busy city day or long travels. The pool and spa area is beautiful, and the steam bath was actually properly hot. We enjoyed a healthful swim and sauna each day and it took the visit to the next level. Dinner in the restaurant was very pleasant, with an excellent Caesar salad and wine program, and a beautiful dining room.

United KingdomLots of construction going on outside. Therefore quiet difficult to access via taxi. Hotel is also located next to a disused shopping alley way. Which smelled very bad, we witnessed several people taking drugs. Which we did not feel safe walking through late at night. So we decided to take the longer route back to this hotel. Plus due to the nature of this alley way being undercover it's become the perfect haven for those sleeping rough.

United KingdomThe night we arrived, we ordered champagne to the room and they said they didn’t have any as had run out! Strange for a hotel of that size and it was a Friday night. On the Saturday, we ordered a lovely glass of Pinot noir, when we asked for another, we were again told that they had run out. These are small things but not what you would expect of a 5 star hotel. In the room, there are tea and coffee making facilities, yet they have us only one tea bag. The next day was refreshed with 2 tea bags, there should be a selection of teas available and replenished when the room is cleaned each time. As I said, these are small things as overall the hotel is beautiful with lovely staff. A little tightening up on the 5 star offering is all they need.
The staff were all super helpful and friendly. They can’t do enough for you. The concierge recommended and booked a great restaurant for us on Saturday night. The pool, sauna and steam room are excellent… clean and great decor. We had the pool to ourselves both mornings and it smells amazing! The decor throughout the hotel is exquisite and so interesting. Something different to admire in every part of the hotel.
