The area was run down and loads of homeless people. Walking down the street was freaky and very smelly.

The roof top bar and pool are fantastic. The rooms are nice.

A lack of hooks in the bathroom (impacted by some not properly in the wall and therefore unusable) A mirror in the desk area would have been useful. Breakfast was not what was expected from the pictures available however it was adequate. A little more variation would massively improve the experience. The area is a little run down and there are homeless people around however how you feel around this would all be dependent on your location at home. This did not impact us much at all.

The room size was great and the beds very comfortable. Pool area was lovely. I have seen reviews saying the area is not safe however as 3 women wandering around I would completely disagree with this at no point did we ever feel unsafe and most people said good evening to us as we walked around.

Nice and friendly staff. Breakfast is normal but enough. Security guards advised hotel clients to stay inside the hotel lobby when using cellular phones because outside the hotel on the street was not safe where there are homeless people wondering around. Saturday market is nearby. No shower gel or body wash shampoo provided. No kettle in the room and no drinking water provided.

Food in the restaurant was awful

We we staying here for carnival so it was a perfect location to walk. Area not good if you are female travellers or staying for longer than a day or two for carnival. As Property is located very close to a dangerous area of Rio.

All in all, we are happy with the hotel. It offers the bare necessities, but unfortunately, nothing more. For example, when customers come, they usually have travelled for a long time, in our case 20 hrs, and at night, and no drinkable water, I feel that at least a bottle of drinkable water should be complimentary. Another point was, if you stay there for a week, getting the same breakfast items might get tiring . The staff are making up for the shortcomings though, they were nice helpful and professional.

You only had right of one pillow each person (I’ve never seen this rule anywhere in the world). If you wanna more it’s R$15 and you actually don’t even take it home :( AC kind of old. It took some time to work.

The room names are a little exaggerated (the room matched the photos, but I would expect sth different based on the name alone). The wifi connection was extremely poor.

Very friendly and helpful staff who allowed me to leave my bags in the hotel early in the morning before check-in. Nice, comfortable room, great pool bar. Location okay, at least in daytime.

Our room was on the 7th floor. The lift goes as far as the 6th floor and we needed to climb stairs to the 7th floor.

The hotel staff were friendly and the facilities and room were good for the price.

I was given a room that was on the 7th floor. No direct elevator. I had to walk up a few flights of stairs. The hotel is dated, needs updating.

They accepted same day booking. Met my needs as my flight was late in the evening and needed a place to rest. The hotel is waking distance to tourist attractions, but the area itself isn’t the best.

our room was not reachable via elevator. We had to go one floor extra over stairs. The air con was very loud and also not really a air con more a ventilator. The sheets on the bed where too small and therefore we where lying on the mattress itself ( as the sheets where leaving it’s place).. what was not so nice. Also the mattress was covered with a sort of plastic cover, what was very unpleasant with 30 degrees and a not very cooling air con.

Second rate mattress, pillows, sheets and towels. Poor breakfast, slow staff, it can get pretty chaotic when the room is busy. From being assigned a room that was already occupied, to key not opening the right room, to door not locking, staff was actually helpful and solved all problems they created themselves. At night the hotel neighborhood is not very safe. Housekeeping must be improved.

Big and spacious room. Close to a few touristic sights and plenty of cheap restaurants and bars in the neighborhood.

There were some tiny insects in the bathroom and one day it appeared also a centipede. I would pay attention to these things.

More pillows and extra covers on the mattresses would be good. Water flow in shower was not great, and the taps sprayed all over the bathroom, which was annoying.

On arrival we were greeted by the most stonefaced receptionist we've ever come across, granted we don't speak Portuguese, but a smile is universal. The local area is rife with homeless people and doesn't feel particularly safe. The metal doorstop in the room is shaped like a arrow, DO NOT stub your toe on these in flip-flops becuase it really hurts.

The rooms were spotless, spacious and were extremely comfortable.
