Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SerbiaMy backpack that was on the floor in the room was completely soaked with water leaking from a/c (sleeping bag and clothes, all...). I had to travel to Jeri with it and now I'm drying my clothes here... They told me the tap water is not good for drinking, but there's no water filter in the kitchen. They sell water at the reception, though (2x supermarket price). The kitchen could be better equipped (there's no kitchen knife in the kitchen, just small butter knives)... Cold shower. No hammocks. No cats.
Excellent location, very good WiFi, lockers in the room, a/c during the night, curtins on bunk beds, electric sockets near bed, price

CanadaThe shower water is smelly. The fact that you need to rent a towel. Ac i. The rooms is turned on from 7pm untill 7am And there is another place called by the same name so follow the location on booking and not Google maps.
The staff is kind, present, and available 24/7. There is a kitchen for everyone's use, bathroom and shower which were smelly and kinda lame, plus you need to rent a towel. It's an okay place to stay for a night but no more.

CanadaThe air conditioning has certain hours and it’s hot when it’s off. The girls in my room had clearly never stayed in a hostel before and were watching videos on their phones late at night and early in the morning on full volume which was quite annoying. The lockers won’t fit a large backpack so you can’t lock up all your stuff.
The staff was kind. The room was clean and there are 2 bathrooms for women and 2 for men. The shower was spacious. The beds have curtains. The air conditioning is nice.

ItalyRooms are pretty small for six people, lockers are also pretty small and so there is not much space to store or place your belongings, no privacy curtain in the upper bunk beds. No hot water in the showers
Good location in the city centre close to a supermarket, Iracema Beach, the Cathedral and public transport (there are frequent and quick buses that take you to Meireles and Beira Mar otherwise it is a 25/30 minute walk), in front of the hostel you can find a couple of museums, a cultural centre and a night market with food stalls. Good Wi-Fi, A/C is on only at night-time, the shared kitchen is decently equipped and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

ItalyYou have to pay to rent a bed cover and AC is on all night so you're freezing all night!
Great hostel, friendly staff and cool vibes all together, even though it's not a backpackers hostel. Equipped kitchen, clean toilets and rooms. Comfortable beds with plugs and even curtain! on the bottom one at least. 24h reception, central location and outside "garden" it's also great

ChileIt's not a hostel in the sense of a tourist/backpacker hostel. They mostly cater for Brazilian transitory workers. Nobody spoke English or Spanish. There was no information or maps for tourists. The place is small, a kitchen living room and a small outdoor area. The bbq was not in use and the oven did not work. And a bad choice for smokers as you had to ask reception to open the gate each time to go out. The rooms were separated into male and female - not a deal breaker but as a couple, my partner could not enter my room to get something from a bag, even during the day. The air conditioning was turned off from 7am to 7pm which meant that lying on the bed during the day was uncomfortable. Also they had no ventilator in the living, which was too hot night and day for our liking.
Toilets were clean. And the price was on the cheap side.

AustraliaThe rooms were too squishy. The bottom bunks were private But the top bunks were too exposed to people turning the lights on in the middle of the night. There was not enough seating in the shared areas or dining area. The kitchen was messy and ill equipped.
The location was good.

United StatesInside the kitchen cabinets could use a deep clean, and the installation of one more countertop (for preparing food) could be a game changer (to make the kitchen more functional). A couple more seat hammocks could be a nice addition to the patio area!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, mostly thanks to the incredible team of people running the hostel. Jade is a talented, hard working entrepreneur, as are Lucas and his lovely sister (whose name I wrote down but since lost! Thayssa?) The laid back, welcoming staff and the equally friendly guests (all Brazilians while I was here), made the atmosphere quite pleasant. The kitchen was well equipped, everything was kept clean, and the WiFi worked consistently. The space is a bit of a squeeze on the busier nights, but it was nice to have a bed with a curtain, a locker and a consequent sense of privacy. The air conditioner running all night was quite a comfy luxury (a necessity in hot Fortaleza!) Just across the plaza from the hostel, you can visit the cool cultural center Dragao do Mar to catch an artsy film, or go to the library (also mercifully air conditioned: nice to sit and read rather than walk around in the ninety degree afternoon!) You can walk about eighteen more minutes and be at the popular Iracema beach, great for people watching. The area seems to be safe for strolling before it gets really late, I generally felt safe all over Fortaleza but always keeping an eye out. There are many shops, restaurants and other ammenities nearby, and I highly recommend a vegetarian restaurant about fifteen minutes from here called Centro Cultural Annapurna: it is honestly the best restaurant meal I`ve had in Brazil (all you can eat lunch for twenty six reais!)

Germanythe room was too small, there was no space at all to put your things. the hostel was not social at all and it looks much bigger in the photos than it really is. there is not really space in the kitchen or to sit. and the room was right next to living area so it was quite loud. that’s not the fault of the hostel but the guests that were in our dorm were quite disrespectful, made a lot of noise, turned on the light when people were sleeping etc.
location is okay, bathroom works alright

NorwayA big dislike for me was that the aircondition was only on in the night, so i was impossible to sit inside the hostel during daytime, because of the warm and humid trmperature.
The hostel was very cheap, and it had some nice international guests. The rooms had lockers for your valuables.
