Tiny thing: There are fruit trees out front, and their fruits fall down and start to smell (early June). A little unpleasant to encounter their smell and be careful where I'm walking very time I walk in and out of the property.

Comfortable bed, good a/c, spacious interior for single person, outdoor enclosed area to dry clothes, good location walkable to beaches and businesses, bikes to borrow for free. Nice pool though didn't use myself. Owners are responsive and let me check in early on short notice. Direct access to main road so easy drop off for taxis, while still being a quiet location.

You can't flush toilet paper there, but I think that is common for the area. They provide a covered can in the bathroom with plenty of refill bags.

We stayed in the one bedroom apartment on the first floor. Check in and check out were super easy. The apartment is spacoius and beautiful with all of the amenities we could have needed, including a full kitchen and separate living room area. The screened patio was a great bonus and included a couple of sitting areas, a hammock, and even a clothesline for wet towels and swimsuits. The owners also left helpful information about the area in a guide book for their guests. And an adorable, friendly kitty hangs out by the pool sometimes.

Driftwood is a perfect place to stay in Placencia. The room is set up perfect and has everything you need, desk, dishes; wine cups and screen in seating area. Free bikes to use! Wifi was fantastic and owners so lovely.

Mattress was firm for my taste, but wasn't an issue.

We stayed in the Studio and it was perfect for us as a couple. The property is very clean and well maintained. Enjoyed the pool and it was close to the store and restaurants nearby. Exceptional value.

There's nothing we didn't like.

The hosts had thought of everything. We had all we needed and more. The mosquito-net-covered private courtyard was a wonderful place to hang out in the evenings. The flat is very comfy and well equiped. It's close to the main attractions in Placencia. The pool is great. I can't recommend this highly enough.

This is a fantastic guesthouse. Very comfortable and quite. The owners are very nice. There is a small well maintained pool. The location was fine. I would definitely recommend staying there.

We had previously stayed in the larger room, which is amazing. This time we were in a smaller room, and while it was well-equipped, it really is too small to be an "apartment". The cooker is one of those camping-like stoves that you have to dig out and plug, but the kitchen space is tiny and there is no room to do much, least of all cook :-/

Phil is incredibly helpful and accomodating. He makes sure that the rooms have everything and is attentive to his guests.

This property is by far the best place I have ever stayed in Placencia, and I have stayed in many places before! Phil and Meg have set up a beautiful, comfortable, private, clean and comfortable place right at the centre of Placencia village. We stayed at the larger flat, which was perfectly equipped, clean and modern. The beds were incredibly comfortable, careful detail is given to everything, including the sheets! They also provide a hub to plug in all your appliances to compensate from the electric issues related to unstable power. The property has a small pool, just the right size, to be honest. Phil was incredibly kind and helpful, and made us feel at home. I will definitely come back: I wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

The one bedroom, one bath, living area and kitchen were excetional. My family and I were very comfortable while staying indoors for our recuperating moments on the trip. The guest house was in close proximity to the beach the restaurants and bars and local super markets. We will dedinitely choose Droftwood Gardens once we visit Placencia again!

One of the best equipped places I've stayed in and all the details were awesome. The location is very convenient, close to everything. The pool and grill were great to have and their garden is gorgeous. The owners have really put their love into this place.

I would have liked a place on the beach better due to the high temperatures, but this was fine. The pool was tiny for dunking...and there was a heat wave which heated it up to hot tub temps...obviously not their problem!

Centrally located in the Village...next to Captain Jak's tours and across street from markets. 5-10 minute walk to everything. Great air conditioning. Phil let us leave our luggage when we arrived early, and put it in our room for us. He was around, but not intrusive as many landlords have been.
