The leaf blowers, starting early. A broom is far more efficient and environmentally friendly.

Great garden behind, or rather below the hotel. Light and airy Good laundry service. Good location to try all local restaurants

Only 1 minor critique would be the Macal River Kayak is expensive for what it is USD 95 pp for 90 mins - the Tikal and Barton Creek trips were worth every penny (cent)

Very clean and staff all very friendly and helpful. Pool area is great to relax after any trips, and food (we had breakfast and lunches) is very, very good. Short walk into town and the hill (slope!) is easily manageable!! Don’t believe anyone who says it isn’t unless you have genuine mobility issues.

Belize is expensive, the hotel restaurant too. Breakfast is à la carte and not included, expect to spend some serious money here. Apart from that, there’s nothing not to like, it’s an awesome hotel.

Very nice and charming hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Both bar and restaurant are very good. The bed was really comfortable, which is important to me. The location is awesome, really strategic for trips to Xunantunich, Caracol, and the Green Hills Butterfly Reserve, all of which I would highly recommend visiting while there. The Green Iguana Conservation Project is right on site, likewise highly recommended.

The room decor was a little tired and restaurant prices and drinks were expensive but possibly as Brits and pound so weak against dollar. Also nicest place in area so to be expected - but be prepared.

Great location for both walk into San Ignacio and local trips. Hotel staff very accommodating and did everything they could to make our stay smooth. Lovely restaurant overlooking jungle - great to see Toucans in the morning.

The beds could be more comfy.

Carla and Perla who work there are amazing! They did everything they could to ensure we were comfortable and taken care of. The entire staff was super helpful and friendly. I can't say enough about them. The hotel is very very clean and the Rolling W restaurant is incredible. The food is fantastic - don't miss the chocolate mousse cake! Best I have ever had. From the patio you get to see some crazy animals and beautiful birds!

    Having to leave.

We loved the atmosphere and room. The front desk staff are wonderful as were all the tour guides and their tours. Darwin is a great concierge and we enjoyed Maya fish cooking and natural remedies with Ivan, iguana visit with George, Maya ruins with Cruz, and cave tubing with Wilbur. The desk and restaurant staff are also wonderful. We were able to do every activity directly from the resort and our time at the resort was delightful. The room is spacious and comfortable with great AC when needed. The pool and grounds are wonderful.

The food could take up to an hour to be prepared! Some of the waiters were surly which was very unusual in Belize. The hotel is old and could do with some modernisation. The coffee was terrible so we went down town where they have a great cafe.

The hotel is a little old style but the staff in general are very friendly, particularly the manager in the dining room. We have 4 adult children and they were able to stay in a room all together which was perfect. The swimming pool and lounge beds are very nice and so is the bar and cocktails. The hotel is located on a hill just outside the town so was an easy walk down into the town.

    Cannot think of a thing.

I think we had the best room in the place, suite 132, a corner balcony with jungle views. On the Trumpet tree outside our room we saw various birds, including motmots and toucans. Also saw a kinkajou one evening. Amazing staff who remember your names and cater to your every whim. Also got a tour of the on-site Green Iguana Sanctuary. It’s a very short walk into town. Also, it’s where Will and Kate stayed when they were here. And the queen too back in 1994.

When we reserved our room with Booking.com, the room was advertised as having 3 double beds plus a sofa bed. There was no sofa bed when we got there, but the staff did bring in an additional single bed for us.

Food was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We really liked the toucans and the howler monkey living in the grounds of this hotel.

The room we got smelled strongly of mold - they initially said that they would not give us a room that did not smell like mold but eventually found one. The rooms are not nice at all, I felt it was like a budget hotel in the US. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. The restaurant was extremely slow and the options for dinner were not ones that we liked at all. I think they raised their prices after the pandemic and they do not at all meet quality expectations for the rates they charge.

There was really nothing that we liked. It was a big disappointment. The price is outrageous for the quality of the resort and service.
