Not beachfront but didn’t mine that much since the weather side of the island is covered in seagasm anyway. Overall we really liked it.

We loved the rooms and are looking at purchasing a place there as well. The buildings need some work which I know will happen in September. The food was actually amazing and the Belizian meal was phenomenal! The private beach is very cool but also very shallow, I wish it had a bit more depth, but the food there and the overwater cabanas are super cool!

Housekeeping could be better. Housekeeping does not come unlsss you request it. I requested housekeeping and all they did was take out my garbage. Did not change my linen or my glasses.

My room had no view. When I open the windows, I had the view of the adjacent buildings. I kept the windows closed the entire time. Also the bed was uncomfortable.

The staff were very nice and attentive. The food and drinks at this resort were really good. The resort has a nice pool with plenty of lounge chairs.

My main complaint are the pillows in our place we're not great. Bed was fine but pillows not so much.

There was a great deal of noise from birds on the roof, particularly at night. It seems that a few of the birds may have built nest between the roofs my cottage and my friends cottages, which at night led to loud fluttering and bird chirps that could distract one from sleeping. The room could have also been cleaner.

The resort property was absolutely beautiful. I absolutely loved the aesthetic and architecture of the properties. The private beach owned by the resort was my favorite. It was beautiful and relaxing. The staff were both pleasant and professional throughout my stay. The food was also delicious and fresh!

Overall the hotel is good but not great. They are missing minor details that would elevate this to a great property (turn down service, stocked mini bar, breakfast included etc), but no major complaints.

The food are very expensive. We didn't like the fact that the fresh orange juice ordered came in a glass with 2/3 of ice and 1/3 of juice.

The air conditioner was located above the head of the bed and unfortunately was dripping condensation continuously.

The staff were excellent from the porter that picked us up at the water taxi dock, the front desk, the conceriges Alysa and Matthew were excellent and so helpful. Finally the servers were so friendly and made our stay. We looked forward to our mornings with Miguel and finishing our evenings with Kimberly. This stay will be one of our highlights of all of our world travels.

The main issue I had with the resort was the front desk needs to be elevated. Upon arrival there is no greeting. The hotel did not provide a welcome drink or towel to refresh your hands. There is no personalize message to guest. There is a generic card as a welcome note to visitors. I requested reservations for a restaurant in town by the front desk, upon arrival I provided my name to be told I had no reservations. There is no sample size lotions provided by the hotels in the rooms. I feel my comments are fair based on the fact that other resorts provide those simple features with their service to vistors.

Mahogany Bay Resort rates as average compared to other hotels that I visited. There are some pros about the hotel I enjoyed. The breakfast was a plus. I suggest trying the flap jacks. The resort has selected exceptional waiters and waitresses. The security/drivers are available to take visitors anywhere on the site, just request the driver with the front desk. The rooms are clean. The resort is relatively quiet. They are practicing sustainability, which is a plus. Housekeeping only cleans the room by request with the front desk, so no awkward interruptions occur when I was resting. The concierge was helpful with finding the perfect event according to my budget. loved snorkeling in the Barrier Reef and swimming with sharks. Oh, I can’t forget the private beach on the resort. It is relaxing and chilling beach. Overall, Mahogany Bay Resort is okay if you are looking for clean and safe resort.

The sheer size of the property and its remote location necessitated the use of a golf cart to get around, both on-site and in the nearby town. The resort offered limited on-site activities, which felt like a missed opportunity given its remote location. While the bungalow-style rooms with partial exposure to the elements were a unique touch, the novelty seemed to wear off quickly, making it a less appealing choice for longer stays.

Mahogany Bay Resort makes a grand impression, sprawling across a large piece of land and feeling like its own self-contained estate. The private beach was exquisite, offering a serene getaway within the property itself. While on the expensive side, the on-site dining options did not compromise on quality, delivering satisfying meals.

The only complaint is that the website showed a suite with a completely furnished kitchen. That was not the case. When we arrived there was an ice bucket and one glass in the kitchen. I went back down to the front desk to inquire about this and was told other items were not furnished. I requested another glass and was told someone would bring one to our room…three days later upon checking out we had still not received a second glass.

Mahogany Bay was a beautiful property. Our suite was clean and comfortable. It was located a little ways from the airport, but still near plenty of restaurants, bars, and shopping. The pool area and private beach were amazing, and the staff was friendly and attentive.
