The double bed on the main floor was hard to get comfortable it kept rolling us in the middle and felt the springs a little. Besides that no complaints!!!

Lovely chalet with all that we required by way of amenities. Very comfortable beds which are sometimes challenging to find. A great outdoor space with so much room for kids to run off their excess energy. The location was perfect being near the Confederation Trail for those hikers in the group and also happened to be very close to a family wedding destination.

Our Cabin wasn't ready when we arrived. The cabin's furniture and beds felt dated and should be replaced. Some of the plumbing fixtures could be replaced.

Wide open space for kids to play, and dog to run. Close and far away enough from neighbors that we felt we had our privacy. The pool was enjoyable. The Cabin had air conditioning.

The cost per night was $400 for a two bedroom cottage. On the first night of the two night stay several hairs were discovered in one of the beds. The next day it was reported to the front desk individual and a request made to have the sheets changed, the bedspread washed and management contact me. Within a few short hours an individual arrived and worked feverishly to change the sheets, apologize and surmise the hair had fallen off the bedspread. Her behaviour seemed a bit off so on a hunch I inquired if she was the manager - the one who I requested contact me. Once confirmation was given that she was in fact the manager I inquired about compensation. When asked what I thought was fair and reasonable I proposed a $100 given that one of the beds was unusable. She immediately went on the defensive with all her supporting arguments about why that was unreasonable. Said $50 was all she was prepared to offer and beyond that she’d have to check with her boss. Her belief was the other positive elements of the cottage negated any hair in a bed. And I should have contacted her upon discovery. We didn’t discover until midnight and she indicated she had left the premises at approx 7:30. I requested she follow through on a discussion with her boss and get back to me. Bottom line. The clean bedspread was never returned and there has been no subsequent follow up or compensation despite another request at check out to have the manager or someone contact me. I believe the compensation request was more than fair and this situation could have been resolved very easily. I hope this review results in an improved customer resolution process and appreciation for the customer and the their value to the business.

The property has some redeeming qualities. Front desk employee was very friendly although was reluctant to share ownership/management information and lacked ability to resolve customer concerns. Close to the Confederation trail which is great for walking and biking.

Our cottage was a sweltering 85 degrees when we got there, the air conditioner was not working, we had a 7 week old infant with us who got overheated. We contacted the office and the owner said if we didn’t like it we could leave. This really wasn’t an option since we were there with 2 other groups of our family. We had to go buy our own air conditioner and two fans to make it bearable. The young employee tried to help and was apologetic but the owner and someone named Darren, he wouldn’t give his last name, was very rude and refused to find a solution. We spent $700 to make it liveable for the three nights we were there and I feel we need compensation for having to cool our own cottage in weather that was 36 degrees with the humidex . There advertisement says the units are air conditioned so we assumed that it would work. The other units our family had had heat pumps and were very comfortable.

Very cute cottage! Very clean and the staff were AMAZING! We are travelling for our honeymoon & the staff decorated with chocolates, a sign & balloons/ streamers! They went above & beyond to also give us a cottage away from other visitors. We will definitely be back!
