Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyIt would be nice if all items were functional and not half broken like the bath tub faucets and the shower items. The water pressure is ridiculous low so it takes an eternity to fill the bath tub. We also had some really loud yelling room neighbors that you can hear almost all night discussing and yelling....not really relaxing. Finally it would be nice to have a small fridge in the room to keep things cold
It is a really nice and relaxing place,

United StatesThere are multiple flights of stairs outside and inside. Two flights minimum and 3 to the King penthouse. Rooms are nice, very modern style but comfy. We would definitely have packed differently on that part of our long trip had we known about the stairs. Other than that, place is nice.
Breakfast fine, location very quiet. in residential area. Easy drive to happening part of Halifax or a 10-14 Canadian dollar Uber ride. 10 minutes max. The only problem was not knowing about the numerous stairs.

United StatesPeople should know: there are a lot of stairs. Not a problem for me but it would be harsh to show up and be unable to climb them. Also the "sunrise queen suite" has an unusual in-room toilet which is fine for solo travelers but you must be VERY VERY good friends with your travel companion. I've never been that comfortable with even a spouse. A folding screen or a curtain would be a cheap improvement. I think the other rooms do have toilets with doors. Unfortunately, I had the bad luck to stay during extraordinary heat and the mini-split A/C was nonfunctional. Likely that's a fluke and will be repaired and/or won't matter under normal circumstances. Breakfast ... didn't happen. There might have been an expectation that I had a working phone, which I didn't.
The rooftop deck is lovely, and the Caribbean restaurant around the corner is almost worth returning for a few days for that alone. The other guests were quiet and affable. Coffee was great and the self-serve drinks fridge was a nice touch. Hydrostone has some restaurants that looked really interesting even though I didn't partake, and they're a bit of a walk, depending on your age and fitness level. I met only one of the hosts, who was super friendly, and otherwise kept to herself. I appreciated the accommodation of my request for a (slightly) early checkin.

CanadaI wish I read some of the other comments. A lot of items are semi-broken. The shower drain was seriously blocked. Told the hostess twice and they replied twice that they fixed it, but they did not. The hostess was also constantly using the washer / dryer that is in our “private bathroom”. The “private bathroom” was also outside of our unit. You would have to walk out of our room and into public hallway before entering the “private bathroom”, which technically everyone else would also have access to. The main door was very difficult to open (and hostess is not professional at all). Even the hostess got locked outside and she called me at 2 AM asking me to open the door for her (yes, I know, beyond ridiculous).
The hot tub in the back was quite nice

CanadaThe room was very noisy during the night for 2 main reasons, the heat coming into the room not the heat pump, I couldn't sleep with the noise plus was very hot and not way to turn it off. In addition the noise from a door hitting on the room above I think was because the wind , those guesses were also upset they couldn't sleep either dye the noise Also the comforter was dirty, sheets didn't smell clean
The two girls working during my stay one from Nigeria and one from NS were professional, kind and provide great service.

CanadaFor such a new building, it is showing many flaws and needs of repair. We booked the king suite penthouse quite some time in advance of our stay, only to be thoroughly disappointed once arriving. For being advertised as “ luxury “ I regret to say this is a far cry from such. - in room jacuzzi was disgusting, pumping out pinkish red fluid colours from the jets when turned on, taps are falling off and loose, and panels are falling off. - shower knob is broke off and unusable. - bed cheap and uncomfortable - outdoor balcony is almost fearful to walk on as many of the tiles are loose. - rooftop balcony was non accessible/ door crudely tied shut. - zero privacy in the backyard for use of the outdoor hot tub and sauna - very limited amenity options in the common area, half drank bottles of wine. - no in room Tv, and an old outdated radio for entertainment - duct tape holding something on in the bathroom. We opted out of the breakfast options as our hopes weren’t high at this point. All in all, our long awaited night out, has been a major disappointment when we had such high hopes of being able to enjoy ourselves at this location. We certainly won’t be booking again.
Looks and design had us fooled.

Canadait could have been made clearer on the listing that there would be common spaces and staff present throughout the stay, this made it less private than we imagined it would be but it was still a lovely stay
breakfast was fantastic, the space was beautifully designed, and the hot tub, spa, and rooftop were lovely bonuses!

IsraelWe were very disappointed from our room. We spent 40 days in Quebec, New Brunswick, all over Nova Scotia, and had not such bad experience. According the photos in your website and the price we agree to pay, we were sure it will end our trip in Canada with pleasure and LUXURY, but instead we have a great aggravation: 1. No private bathroom The “private bathroom” is the laundry room of the hotel which was still busy with laundry at 9 pm‼️ The "privet" bathroom was shared by the housekeeper. 2. Strong smell of mosquito repellent in the bathroom 3. No shelf or small table/chair attached to one side of the bed (for water for example) 4. No mirror in the room. 5. No desk, no chair in the room (instead, 1 armchair on which we put all our stuff). I had a zoom meeting. You can see how comfortable it was… 6. A towel was lying on the floor awaiting to collect drops from the air condition
breakfast was very good.

CanadaThe finishes on the interior were very luxurious, loved the common area and the ambiance it created; the high ceilings, large windows, big tree, modern furniture. There were simple touches that were very alluring, the heated floors, the coffee bar, the illuminated surfaces. Someone had also gone out of their way to clear the snow off my car in the morning! Rebecca was an awesome host, just very warming and charming. The in house chef was very inviting and provided a warm experience with the meal. The sauna and hot tub were a great experience as the snow began to to gently come down at night. A great memory to cap off the trip with.

CanadaOverall cleanliness was very poor, some black mold in shower area, so much pigeon poop on top patio level that you couldn’t really sit on any furniture, would not use the BBQ because it was covered in poop, plus no grate inside the BBQ. Some of the patio stones on the balcony and top level were very wobbly, you would have to watch your step. Almost every door in the place had issues opening or closing or just very loose with visible broken pieces, there was a latch and key lock on one door screwed into the door frame. You could tell the building was a very fast build to make a maximum profit. Overall price for the place was definitely not acceptable, should be lowered to at least $200 a night, or less.
The breakfast was excellent and staff member was very hospitable, the view from the top floor was pretty cool but that is all the place had to offer.
