Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was a little tired. Some small upgrades like better lighting and a new small sofa (we had a suite), would go a long way. The bathrooms are good enough but are probably ready for an upgrade as well.
We had a 4-night stay at the Super 8. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine - it's a continental breakfast. They do serve hard boiled eggs and you can make fresh waffles. The bed was comfortable.

The hotel was outdated: carpets looked old, the lobby was sterile, small and had 3-4 chairs and the breakfast room was a room with tables (no decor).
The property is located by a Tim Horton’s, Fatburger, Dollarama and Starbucks.

The stay was good. The staff were very good at solving issues for me, very attentive and got to things straight away. The only downside for me was a lack of hot water in the shower. It was luke warm only.

The room needed some upgrading and the bathroom door had been broken but the beds were good and we like the mictowave and fridge.
It was beside a main grocery store so we could buy food and go back and cook it in the microwave and keep it it the fridge.

Breakfast wasn't a lot to choose from but it was OK.

No daily room cleaning. Cleaning could be done every 2 days if can't do daily.
Breakfast has good hours open and was good variety. Breakfast staff nice and helpful.

Wifi speed was ok, but I frequently had to reconnect, and, whenever I did that, I had to watch a few ads of the hotel before getting access. There were homeless people in the area around the hotel, asking for money or cigarettes. They weren't disrespectful nor seemed dangerous, but still a nuisance.
Room was very spacious, with separate living room area. Breakfast area was small but had nice options. The lady that managed the waffles was very well humored and cheerful, it was nice to talk to her. There were restaurants and Walmart nearby.

Hotel parking was limited and confusing entrance to it due to the nearness of 2 businesses. The shower head had more water running down the wall and onto the floor than actually spraying.

Too expensive given that it is only a motel. Better to spend this money on hotels which are right in the downtown.
The staff was very nice and friendly. The location is good, right next to Walmart and Tim Hortons. Microwave and fridge in the room. Big sized room.

The breakfast could have really benefited from sausages or bacon. Some days the eggs ran out, so there were limited protein sources. The pillows didn't have any support to them, all fluff, and the beds were quite uncomfortable. The fan for the air control was quite loud. No business room with computers for guests is a bummer.
Super 8 is very well situated in Yellowknife. There was always parking available, which wasn't the case at other hotels, so I appreciated that. It's in the same parking lot as Marks, Tim Hortons and Walmart, which was very convenient. I appreciated that there was a microwave and fridge in the hotel room. The staff were kind. The rooms were over $260 a night which I find outrageous, so it wasn't exactly what I would typically expect from a Super 8 hotel. Elevator was quick enough so we didn't spend much time waiting for it.

It looked quite dated and need of a refresh. It also is quite expensive for what you get, even by Yellowknife standards.
It is conveniently located close to Walmart, Tim Horton’s and various other restaurants. It offers a continental breakfast with some limited hot items.
