The rooms are only minimally renovated — inside you’ll see lots of scuffs, dirty baseboards, older baseboard heaters, etc. While housekeeping is doing a great job with what they have, the rooms could use a paint job and the bathrooms are getting grungy/need a renovation. I wish there were a broom for cleaning beach sand, and it felt like maybe the whole room (and AC unit) was still covered in a fine dust or grit, probably from the recent fires by Port Alberni. Overall it feels a bit like a motel where workers/families could live for a long time; less like a vacation destination. I got the feeling it was a very recent change to focusing on vacationers and really only had exterior cosmetic changes.

The location and free mini golf were great. Maple parking, and dedicated gazebo/fancy outdoor patio area really helped open up the space if you’re gathering with friends. The kitchenette was also very well stocked with most things you’d need. The two-room setup was spacious and convenient for families.

Their response time when sending request to them through the website. It takes forever and sometimes no response.

The hotel is in the perfect location. The kids enjoyed the free pass in the mini golf across the hotel. The staff also provided a space outside for us to gather together and share meals with each other. They also permitted us to use the barbecue grill.

Our last night was in a different room and it was smaller. The coffee machine was nowhere near a plug in and the beds were very uncomfortable. Glad to be home.

Rooms are clean and spacious. We had a kitchenette which was nice to eat in. Everything is dated which did not matter at all when considering other qualities. The woman at the front desk, whose name I am sorry to say I forgot, went the extra mile to ensure our comfort. She even called around trying to find me another place to stay to extend our vacation, since thi place was sold out.

Very clean and had lovely upgrade. Central to the Parksville attractions and the beach. Next door to a lovely mini golf which we got free access to as hotel patrons. Was lovely surprise. Had lovely kitchenette and a common area outdoor table and lounge to sit for those wanting to sit outside.

Both fridges in rooms were missing front legs or something, couldn't open the door properly and when it did get open, everything flipped out. Also was nice having full kitchen but no plates, cups or silverware. Also the pillows were horrible.

Loved that we could walk across the street and be at the beach. Was also nice to have a nice coffee bar across the street with some really good baked items. Room was nice and cool and they also have new outdoor seating which was nice to relax in the evening.

The main thing we weren’t pleased with was that our room wasn’t very clean! Bedding and towels were fresh though. The rooms are very sparse, with only the basics provided.

Located very close to the beach! The staff were very pleasant and friendly! Rooms have had some updating. Liked the grassy seating areas.
