A refurbished 1960s architectural gem built for party members, the Dong Fang is modern and sophisticated, but teases with some playful cold-war notes and hints of elegant decay. Gorgeous ambience, wonderful facilities and excellent service from Carman Lin and her team, this hotel is in my top 5 accommodation experiences.

EthiopiaThe hotel is amazing despite its age .The room where we stayed flooring is renovated and not carpet, which is excellent. But,there is a sole smell on the corridor, not that much bad, but you could feel it. May be it could be from the corridor carpet.
The location is convenient to visit many of the whole sale market places. Taxi drivers know the hotel very well as it is an oldest hotel in town and it is easy to give direction. The front office staffs are helpful and especially their supervisor, Ms. carmen was proactive to assist us in our queries. Excellent hospitable staff overall.
