Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ChinaThe SPA area was a disappointment, the swimming pool is 1.2 m at its deepest part so only good to play for kids. Also, I saw some local Chinese guests having an argument with the staff because of expired Coca Cola that was sold at the pool bar. Generally, the whole resort could use some renovation as it is often the case with these upper class resorts in China that were great ten years ago, but not that impressive today.
Good food at their restaurant, both breakfast and dinner. The suite itself was also clean, with a nice balcony and a bathtub in it to chill, kinda had everything I needed. The location itself is perfect for those who have plans to hike the Seven Fairy Mountain 七仙岭山 (the only higher peak in Hainan that I found myself being allowed to climb due to local restrictions) as it is just right next to it.

United States of AmericaWe would have liked more choice in terms of food. The buffet emphasized shell fish which we were to boil ourselves. The buffet was rather expensive and was not that interesting or tasty. Also, the dishes were not kept warm. Just outside the entrance to the resort were one or two small business serving some cooked food. The larger soaking pools charged extra. One pool was infused with tea and the other had small fish for removing dead skin. We would have liked more free soaking pools.
The resort is set at the edge of the National Park. Several wild streams run through the complex over boulders and under beautiful trees and vines. Our accommodation was two bed rooms and a shared shower and bath between. Outside at the back was a private jacuzzi. Behind the room was a palm grove. The rooms and beds were luxurious. In addition to air conditioners the rooms had dehumidifiers. The dehumidifiers took away all the tropic dampness. Nearby was a large shallow outdoor swimming pool that the entire family enjoyed. There was also a small pool with natural hot spring water. The resort entrance is about a half hour uphill walk to the main entrance to a gorgeous tropical mountain park. Within the resort golf carts are constantly roaming the small streets ready to give guests a lift to the lobby or to the other pools and dinning halls.

ChinaIts hard to find something that we didn't like because we were open minded about the hotel. We were informed by friends who had stayed at the property that it is a chinese hotel and not to expect too much. There was nothing really wrong with the hotel it is the behavior of guests which is the overall influencing factor. Overall the Local guests were well behaved and children well controlled until the weekend and then the ambience was affected by shouting, loud devices (no concept of headphones) and general rowdiness. The hotel only had 2 english speaking staff, but if we were stuck then translators were used or those English speaking staff were found to assist. Don't bother to order room service. The restaurant food is very tasty and ordered by app. Western buffet was ok but nothing special for us, we preferred the chinese restaurant where everything we ordered was exceptional. No diet drinks available in the hotel to order, need to go to the little kiosk at the base of the entrance to the hotel. The children zoo was not a highlight but the caged animals appeared well cared for.
Loved the location! Paradise in the 7 fairies mountain. Loved getting my air vitamins. The rooms were clean and very large, we had 108m2 with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a sitting area. Internet connection was good. Being set in a national park there was of lot of this to explore and the vegetation was sign posted with descriptions in english. I saw fire flies for the first time! Pools were clean. We timed our swims between 12-3 pm before families with children arrived. Beds were super soft. Had a couple of maintenance issues which were fixed very quickly. The staff always tried to be attentive. The spa was clean and my foot massage was lovely. Loved just being present in the moment and spent some of the rainy times on our balcony just looking into the green of the rainforest and listening to the babbling brook running by our building.

GermanyNoisy neighbors never keeping to some rules, smoking in the hot springs or somewhere else, small kids running around and touching everything at the pool side, in the breakfast restaurant, in shops, staff chasing me to pay instantly as if I am a robber (I know that this is a necessity in China, but I am not used to this 'safety behaviour'). I understood from that foreign guest do not seem to be important at all. Great lesson. I was not always amused about learning that this is a local resort that just caters to wealthy Chinese who are allowed everything. I had the impression that nobody cared for reducing music dissemination in the evening, it was too loud and too overlapping, and also inappropriate in this resort. Staff should not be advised to use these loudspeakers except for announcements. Also, I thoughht that the staff might be not well enough paid, hence being not careful with all guests.
The location was great, the views were spectacular, the green trees and lush vegetation well cared for.
