Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Very comfortable and well-equippped hotel. Staff helpful and very friendly, and close to public transport links and easy to get around. Location is OK, but doesn't have the excitement or facilities of other areas of Beijing. But these are easy to get to and the hotel is a great base for that.

This is an amazing hotel in every single way. Brilliant location, fantastic room, beautiful swimming pool and there are not enough positive words to describe the fantastic breakfast.

Some of the rooms are a bit more aged than other 5 star hotels in beiing. Still very nice hotel. The spa and pool are amazing.

Maybe a change of breakfast menu every alternate day would be good. We stayed there for 3 nights and every day the buffet breakfast was the same
I love the pillow menu! I chose a lavender pillow and it was super comfortable! Everything was good. No complain at all.

The staff were amazing. All the facilities were excellent. The breakfast was excellent. But the staff were exceptional. Yuki and Effie both stand out as truly exceptional. But all staff were excellent. A truly exceptional hotel.

Drinks are pricey, anything ordered outside of what you booked is pricey - but we are travelling on the Rand (so that is our problem).
Lovely Hotel. Centrally located, you can take a nice walk to various tourist attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet catered for absolutely everyone from all over the world, I would find it hard to find something you wouldn't like.

the aircon doesn't seem to do much, it is more like an air ventilition system, rather than air con. the room facing the south, it was too warm during the day.
the location was great to visit Beijing, close to metro/underground. walking distacen to Wangfujing, and Dongxi. hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Steam room was great to relax after a day walking around in Beijing.

I would say that the temperature in the beds towards the rest of the area of the hotel was very high.
Staff were excellent big shout out to Shirley on reception & Ines on the concierge desk.

The only minor drawback is that the room décor feels slightly dated.
The hotel is located near all the main tourist attractions and close to shopping malls, making it a convenient base for exploring Beijing. The service was outstanding, especially from the concierge service manager, who was exceptionally helpful. She spoke excellent English and assisted with booking tickets while providing great recommendations for dining and sightseeing. A thoughtful touch was the complimentary fruit bowl upon arrival, which was a refreshing welcome. The hotel room was spacious, and the buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of both local and Western cuisine.

Location is close to Wangfujing pedestrian street and also walking distance to the Forbidden City. Plenty of food options close by. There is also a metro station just around the corner which is convenient.

Everything was perfect. Our flight to Beijing was cancelled and the hotel staff kindly guaranteed our room and reajusted the dates. We loved the gym and pool. On check-out the front desk lady even gave us two sets of the hotel pen, as we requested.

I find it strange that except the ladies wearing pink at the check in counters, almost no one speaks English in a five star hotel. The key system and Wi-Fi don’t work from time to time.
Location:It is close to the main busy shopping district The room is big and well equipped. The staff is attentive and caring.
