Just 1 possible improvement would be to have common oil or butter in the kitchen to make cooking as a guest for 1 or 2 days easier.

Great location as it was walkable (5 mins or less) to the National Park entrance, main boat dock for tours and transportation, as well as the town for restaurants and stores. The breakfast was lovely and nice to have coffee and drinking water throughout the day. The A/C was strong and the shower had hot water. The room and bathroom were clean. The bed, linens, and pillows were comfortable. WiFi was good. Great that they can arrange tours for guests. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was nice to chat to other guests in common areas and have use of the kitchen to prepare meals. Beautiful garden with friendly cat.

The shared bathroom upstairs could have been a bit cleaner (bath mat could be changed more regularly and plug fixed) but otherwise it was good for the very cheap price.

Great budget option. Very basic but true to the picture. Fan in the room kept it comfortable for sleep. Breakfast was great. Staff were helpful.

We shared a bathroom with 2 other guestrooms, a bit cramped. No easy seats to relax, just benches, and hammocks.

Nice location amd cheap, compared to other facilities. Easy to book trips in the park. Staff spoke good english. We booked for 4 nights, but this appeared to be a bit long, so we decided to leave 1 night early, this was refunded without question. 24/7 tea facility in the common area, 2 periods per day free coffee 8-10 and 15-17.

There weren’t that many places to sit and be comfortable, but this is personal preference and I would still stay again for a short time.

The hostel was very pleasant and we appreciated it being very clean every day. The ladies that run the place are very nice and helped us book a tour that was amazing and great value for money. I would recommend this place.

It’s bit dated and in need of some TLC. Especially shared areas like bathroom (tiny) and kitchen (old and broken stuff) which were just OK. Was a little noisy (external and your neighbors rooms) and if you are a light sleeper probably not for you.

The location is perfect, straight off the boat and there you are. Welcome was good and the gardens are lovely. Fresh coffee in the mornings.

It's not super quiet but the nightlife dies down early so I didn't think it was that horrible. The one downside to the room is that the bathroom has an open window with no curtains so you have to keep the bathroom door shut for the AC and when you shower it feels a little exposed. The window is high up and in the foliage so it was very private.

The room was very clean and super cute. The hotel has really beautiful grounds and the breakfast was amazing. Staff went above and beyond to make my stay great and the tours they arranged were excellent. I felt very safe at the property the entire time.

Because of the way the rooms and entrance were placed, there was not really a feeling of a lot of privacy.

Warm welcome by the host, she was very open to feedback, had all information needed and was calm and nice. The room was perfect - nice big bed, airconditioning, warm shower and a toilet. From there it was a very short and easy walk to restaurants, tours and shops.

The location was great in Tortuguero town and we loved the balconies with the hammocks to chill after a long day of activities. The rooms were basic but super functional, the beds comfortable and the shower was great too. We used the laundry service which was much needed and the breakfast was lovely! Great value for money

The room was a little small for the 3 of us, we should probably have gone for two rooms. We went during the rainy season, and it was certainly very wet - the gardens around the cabin were waterlogged and probably look better at different times of year.

Great location at the edge of the village and near the national park entrance. The staff were helpful and gave advice on activity bookings, which they then arranged for us. We did the canoe tour but there was a big storm leading to the turtle watching being cancelled. They did re-arrange that, though.

Be aware that during heavy rain, the WiFi and power may go out for a while. There's some noise from the places nearby but it is nothing in comparison with the cane toads who will serenade you! Trips payable in cash. No cashpoint so take it with you.

This is very centrally situated on the main street in Tortugera. There is a supermarket next door and various restaurants and soda within 3 minutes stroll. The ensuite room had air-conditioning which was very effective and much needed. The double without air-conditioning had a ceiling fan only. The balcony outside the room was a good place to sit and watch the birds or chat. The bed was comfy. Bathroom basic but as expected. Kitchen facilities available if you were staying in the dorm rooms or wanted to self cater. The staff were amazingly helpful. They answered all our questions by WhatsApp before hand and arranged tours for us. We saw turtles laying eggs, caimans, numerous birds, monkeys,snakes and frogs. We loved being in the heart of the village and getting a real feel for the place. If you want a more sanitised experience, then pick one of the posh resort hotels.
