The property is beautiful, the breakfast was delicious, the staff were very kind! The villa was cozy, clean, and had a gorgeous view. It was a great location to get to La Fortuna but not be in the busy city.

Nothing, it was great.

The hotel was clean, very luxurious, the rooms were large and roomy. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The restaurant food was excellent, try the Sea-bass. It was wonderful. Great views and comfortable. Don’t miss this amazing property.

The floor was kind of dirty so we had to wear shoes when inside, which we don’t usually do. Also the location is beautiful but it is very far from the activities in La Fortuna so if you want to do those, plan accordingly and rent a car and take everything you need for the day.

The staff, food and room were wonderful. We also loved the pool and hot tub although we only used once. This was a great place to stay.

Had a lot of issues with wifi signal in our room, which was ok because the whole point of staying in the country was to unplug.

This is a perfect place to stay if you are looking for relaxation. We woke up early and saw many species of birds with spectacular views of Lake Arenal. Loved the infinity pool and hot tub (although people with kids could be very loud and disruptive of the other guests trying to enjoy the pool). The breakfast was outstanding and there are several cute little bars and restaurants close-by. Our room was very spacious and clean. The hotel bar had some really tasty local craft beer on tap.

We loved everything!

The rooms were dark, and there were geckos in the room that could be a bit loud :) but they eat insects so that wasn’t too bad.

We loved the gorgeous view of the lake, the birds, horses, and cows we watched in the pasture, the pools (1 heated!) and the breakfast. Staff was super friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious, with charming decoration, and had everything we needed. Loved to watch animals on the terrace in the am while drinking coffee!

There were no extra towels and extra blankets in the room, although we obtained them at the reception desk.

The property was stunning, the staff was fabulous, and having the on-site restaurant really made our stay perfect. Pool/spa was lovely to enjoy as well. Only issue was that the weather was a bit non-accommodating (but it is in a rainforest:)). It was a lovely stay, although too short. We were glad to be a bit out of the busy La Fortuna area, although with our car, it was not difficult to go to different places.

Location was secluded and superb particularly sitting. On balcony over looking mountains and lake felt like you had it all to yourself. Views from swimming pool and hot tub breathtaking. Staff wonderful particularly Christopher very helpful. Would like an umbrella left on balcony as other places did would have been handy as weather very changeable in these parts.

About the only negative I can think of is that the internet and wifi we're a bit spotty but still more than sufficient for light use and for our kids to watch a few streaming movies.

Absolutely amazing property with a beautiful lake view, wonderful food, and fantastic staff. We travelled as a family and the King Villa here was the most comfortable accommodation we had on our trip. We ate multiple meals from the restaurant, including room service, and everything was consistently excellent. We can't wait to go back.

The restaurant for dinner was VERY expensive. It was delicious, and the service was excellent. By Costa Rican standards it was probably twice the price of restaurants of the same quality in the area or La Fortuna.

Beautiful property and comfortable rooms. Horseback tour arranged by front desk was a trip highlight, and I was very happy with my in-room massage.

Great hotel by Lake Arenal in a small little village. Great vues, very attentive staff. Away from the La Fortuna crowds. The staff is very attentive. The food at the Bistro is really good.

All lovely.

Our room was lovely, roomy, comfortable, the view exceptional. Beautiful tropical gardens, many varieties of birds. We loved the infinity pool and the warm pool, terrific views from both. We all enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. The restaurant provided delicious food, we tried several of the pasta dishes.

Trouble getting the water in the shower to stay a consistent temperature, and dinner wasn’t the best so we decided to eat out the other days. Wish there was a screen on the front door to keep a breeze coming in without the bugs.

The place was a little tired though still very acceptable. Great view but weather was iffy so didn't see too much of it (obviously not their fault!). Wifi was a little weak. Showers were not dependable - hot/cold. The main thing we didn't like was the TOTAL inability to contact Booking.com as we had a major issue upon our arrival. There is seemingly no method of contacting you either by chat, email or phone. We will no longer be using your services unless this is dealt with.

The people at La Mansion were super and the rooms/cabins were vey nice , roomy and comfortable. Breakfasts were good. The location is a little out of the way but with a great view over the lake. We had a problem with the room when we arrived and were at a loss as to how to deal with it, but the manager stepped up big time and everything worked out perfectly. Thanks Caesar! Also great service by Christopher.

Can't think of a thing.

We were surprised to encounter more than 80 species of birds on and near the property. Beautiful views of Lake Arenal, and the food was superb as well as the people who worked there.
