The price for having the view is having to use a pretty narrow, steep and partially bumpy road up the hill after turning off the main road. Good to have a bit of clearance (SUV).

What a room and what a view!!! No words to describe. One of the best and very unique places we stayed during our trip to Costa Rica. Very spacious room, ocean view, the balcony, the pool... and a kind host!

You really need a 4 wheel drive to access the property. It’s 500m from the main road and up extremely steep gradient. I did not have a vehicle so only managed to walk down from the villa which took 20 mins and nearly fell over twice as some of the road surface was very rough. Had to get taxis up to the villa which cosy 10,000 Costa Rica colones each time.

Spectacular views down to the ocean. Listening to the howler monkeys in nearby trees. Well equipped villa with lots of space. Great swimming pool.

It’s at the top of a hill, you need an ATV or a 4x4 to get up. I do not recommend getting up by foot.

Luckily we had a 4 wheel drive to get up the very steep hill, we did get used to it after a couple of days.

Lovely large balcony with fabulous views and seating areas. The room was huge with 3 double beds We enjoyed the pool in some very hot weather (March). I was able to get our washing done which was a relief. There are some great places to eat out and the beach is beautiful. Marco was friendly and helpful. We could hear and see the wildlife around the property, fantastic.

Nothing The only thing that would have made our stay in the penthouse suite even more perfect would be the addition of a couple of lounge chairs. The stools are wonderful and the best to see the view but after a while they get a bit uncomfortable.

Air conditioning stopped working, but Oscar was great at fixing it. He offered an alternative room and the unit was replaced the next day.

We didn't have a 4Wheeldrive and to get to the Appartment, you had a steep 500 m drive. I didn't mind, but my wife...

We had 3 double beds, a Porch all around the Appartment. The view from the Porch was magnificent. A big outside Kitchen. Nice Swimmingpool. with the same view. We had a Car, so everything was within 15 Minutes. What you see in the pictures was true, but even bigger.

The driveway in is no joke. Although it's "mostly paved" there are stretches of rugged off-road and big dips as you move from dirt to concrete. Not to mention, it is super steep. Be mindful if you have a low clearance car, there is a large probability that you will bottom out or smack your front end on an uneven piece of concrete. Take your time and be cautious unless you want to damage your rental.

The view is spectacular. The room is immaculate. The pool is incredibly refreshing. The hotel made getting an ATV very easy.

We didn’t have a car so obviously it’s a bit of a walk up there but we knew this already. It would have been nice to have a welcome pack or something with coffee etc as it is quite a steep walk up and when you first arrive it’s nice to have a few bits

The views are beautiful, hearing the birds and howler monkeys was the best start to the day, the sunsets from up there are incredible too. The villa was really lovely and super comfortable, the pool was lovely to cool off too!

Note that the drive up the steep hill is quite intimidating at first. It’s definitely preferable to have an SUV or ATV. Once we got used to it however, it was fine and quite fun. As the room is surrounded by floor to ceiling windows (which is fantastic for the view), but does not have proper curtains, be prepared to wake up at sunrise. There is also virtually no privacy. A set of blinds would solve this problem.

The location up on the hill with a view over the ocean and lush valley is beautiful and a peaceful oasis from the busy village. We loved the outdoor kitchen and large deck. The pool was very welcome at the end of a hot day.

The drive up the hill was always a bit scary (there is hardly any space if another car is coming). It is also long and steep, so I would deffinitely suggest some kind of transportation. But it’s worth the drive!

We loved this place! The view was amazing and the terrace gave us so much additional space. I loved my early mornings reading a book and listening to howler monkies (saw them too on our last morning). This place was outside the crowded main street and we loved that. The room was clean and the pool was nice for cooling down. And the pool was not crowded in this small place. The kitcken was good enough for simple cooking.
