Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The host Kostas was very friendly and gave us lot of information about Nicosia. He welcomed us with box of Cyprus delights, a big bottle of water and juice. The breakfast was decent and there were refrigerators and electric kettles in our rooms with tea and coffee available. Also, power adapters were available in every room.

The owner was so nice with us, even though we made a last time reservation. Amazing value for money. I absolutely recommend this place with no hesitation. Close to the city center!

The shower was leaking on the floor, but that's nothing that can't be taken care of. Breakfast calls for some fresh veggie options.
Greeting us was so sweet! Absolutely lovely and welcoming. And I got a call that my friend forgot her jacket in the room, I thought that was so so caring as well.

Nice and clean apartment with free parking. Host was very friendly and helpful. 20 minutes walk to city centre and restaurants etc. From Ledra street where you can cross the border to Turkish side of Cyprus. ( Important note for car hire people ) if you hired a car from Greek side of Cyprus and travelling to Turkish side then your car insurance might be not valid on the Turkish side. Please check before travel. I suggest if you are crossing the border to Turkish side of Cyprus then make sure you have some Turkish Lira currency. Also Check with your Mobile network provider, You might get charged £££.

The bed was not super comfortable and the mattress was squeaky. But overall great value for money.
The room was clean and had all the possible amenities required for a short stay. Overall the neighborhood is nice and calm, not far from the centre. The host is great and very helpful sharing many tips for the city. Bonus point for mini breakfast offered as a perk.

The location is a bit far from the city center (about 25 minutes walk), but everything you need is nearby (restaurants, shops...). You can park in the garage or in front of the apartment for free. The bedroom with its own bathroom is large, clean and comfortable, has a TV and also a balcony. Breakfast is fine, even for vegetarians, but it would be good to offer some fruit and vegetables. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

Everybody talked about the hospitality of Mr. Kostas in the reviews. So I was eager to find out what they meant when I got there. I did not disappoint me to the least. He helped us in any way possible. From welcoming us with treats and lemonade in the balcony, to giving us tips for the city and Cyprus in general, printing stuff we needed, satisfying to the best of his abilities our requests. I would easily go back to have a nice chat with Mr. Kostas in the balcony like the ones we had while I was there. Thanks for everything!

There was no proper seperation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom. So, the whole place bacame wet after taking a shower.
The owner and the reception were kind, polite, friendly and helpful. The room was big enough. The location was convenient.
