Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBits unclean (dust and stains in bathroom and on wall). Very basic breakfast though enough. No tea/coffee making facilities or fridge in the room. Was desperate for coffee and had to drag myself straight back out. Very poor shower (no enough pressure and coldish). Could hear other rooms residents gabbing into the night through the walls.
Brilliant location, relatively quiet (apart from following morning being ‘the bin day’. 🙄 Absolutely huge room, almost an apartment to ourselves. View (top floor, corner of the building so windows from two sides of the room). Huge and very comfortable bed. Staff very useful.

United KingdomThe City Bell Hotel is not too far from some main attractions of Prague as museums and well known squares. At Christmas time there were smaller street matkets right near to the hotel and there were also trams and a subway travel options in walking distance for cheap. The staff members were all helpful and the continental style breakfast was really great. As for a solo traveller my room was cozy and spacious, I really enjoyed to stay there.

United KingdomThere was no where to get food or drink other than breakfast being served, not even a vending machine. There were also no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, which made the lack of refreshments even more noticeable. Glasses were provided though.
The reception staff were friendly and polite, and on arrival late due to flight delay, were very understanding. They showed us to the lift and explained where we would be staying. They also gave us details of wifi connection etc as soon as we arrived along with a quick navigate around a map and how to get to places. Breakfast was handy to have included and was topped up as soon as getting low. A good selection of foods available including fresh fruit and vegetables. The rooms were very large and had lovely views into the pretty streets nearby. The heating was more than adequate (it was -6 during the day while we were there and the bedding is comfortable and warm.

Switzerland- Bathroom was not the cleanest - Bedroom could have also done with extra vacuuming - Bad coffee at breakfast (coffee from a thermal flask; no good machine coffee) - I didn’t eat breakfast but it looked very basic (a few cheeses, cold cuts, yoghurt, sweet bread and the bad coffee)
- Huge and sunny corner unit bedroom on the 3rd floor with magnificent light and views of the colorful buildings in the neighborhood -I worked from the hotel room for 2 days and had perfect WIFI - Highly recommend the area of Vinohrady for a more local but trendy feel with lots of street cafes yet quiet and calm - Quiet neighbourhood only 15-20 mins by tram from the Old Town - the staff are lovely! - was able to easily order food delivery when I didn’t not want to go out for dinner

TurkeyNot much.
We stayed in a family room, which was quite large. The hotel was close to public tram stations(no.22 and no.36). The hotel room and building were very old. But it was as clean as possible it could. Breakfast was average, but the ingredients were fresh. And lastly, reception process was easy-going

ItalyThe weather was unexpectedly worm for the season so the lack of air conditioned impacted a bit the stay. Wide screen TV but I didn't manage to make it work.
Good position, in a central area of the city not too crowded. Amenities close and vibrant nightlife in the area with very good restaurants and pubs few steps away.

United KingdomDue to the relatively central location, the noise from the streets is inevitable.
Generally good location, within walking distance to the heart of the city (Wenceslas Sq.) the hotel offers great value for the money. Lots of nearby pubs, restaurants, cafes, also access to public transportation (trams, underground). Staff is very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is more than sufficient to start the day.

GermanyWiFi signal is problematic, plus there seems to be multiple networks belonging to the hotel but only one matching the password provided by the reception. However, the staff is very eager to help. Hairdryer is not available in the bathroom, however this is easy to solve: just ask at the reception and you will get one. So, actually not a big minus.
The hotel seems good for its category. The location is pretty good, and in a really nice area! There are plenty of restaurants nearby. The National Museum is just 15min walking. The staff is very polite. Breakfast seems good.
