Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Very pleasant and friendly staff, close to tram stop (5min), in the historic part. Quiet place. Breakfast in the garden was great. It is surrounded by cobbled streets and stairs in the hotel, if that is important information for anyone.

United StatesNo air conditioning but the temps were moderate. An open window and a desk fan kept the room comfortable. And it was a little hard to find the first night.
Lovely staff, delicious breakfast each morning, with patio seating as optional. Very good location once we figured out the trolly routes and catching the trolley was just a few minutes away. Would stay there again.

Czech RepublicVery difficult to comminite with stuff. They are "correct" and "polite", but they refuse to do anything extra. Maybe this is their general policy? What a pity - other places are much more welcoming.
most beaitofi; location, especially the view from top left windows to the PPrague from high hill. This is the main reason we rented this hotel, also because best of Prague magiv veiw from Strachov monastyr and before ea7am (even 6).

We loved the location and the serene nature of the hotel. The deluxe room was very comfortable For table and large enough to feel luxurious. The extra touch of the complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. The room had a mini fridge and had a machine for coffee or tea. Bed was comfortable. Windows opened and our room had amazing views of the city below. Staff were amazing especially Gabriella. She also spoke English which was an added bonus. . Loved sitting in the garden each morning with our coffee. Breakfast was very tasty and had an assortment of hot and cold items. We can’t say enough about the hotel and the beautiful location.

United StatesIt is quite a walk to the bridge and many of the attractions. The good news is that it is all downhill...until you want to come home after a long day of walking. :) Tram is easy to use though. Hired a car through the hotel to pick me up since it was after 11pm when i arrived at the airport. No one was waiting when I arrived. So I got an Uber and they dropped me off just outside the monastery but it was late at night and I had no idea where the hotel was. I asked a tourist sitting on a bench if she new and she walked with me around the property until we found it. It wouldn't have been a big deal if it was light outside or if I had done more research before I arrived. Hotel apologized and did not charge me.
Great views of the city from my room. It was beautiful. Very quiet at night. Very good assortment of breakfast items.

United StatesWe should’ve stayed longer!
We loved everything about the property. The location is perfect, calm, and quiet even though it’s close to the castle and museums. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed. The bathroom was warm and inviting and super clean. We even loved being able to walk around the gardens and to Petrin tower to watch the sunrise. The beautiful sounds of the birds and church bells was soothing and peaceful.

United KingdomNothing, this is on our 'stay here again' list. It is a bit off the beaten track and a fair walk into the centre but not too much of a negative as close to transportation and the situation on the hill is spectacular
With a commanding situation overlooking the city, this place was beautiful in the snow during our visit. Although only here in Prague for the evening and morning, the location offered a packed morning of local visits and museums. Fantastic rooms and a building full of character, not your usual hotel

United KingdomWe loved everything about the hotel. Personally for me, the room was way too hot during the night and woke me up. My husband thought it was a very comfortable heat and did not wake him.
Hotel is in the most beautiful grounds, surrounded in history. Hotel rooms are clean, spacious, and have everything you need. Beds are comfy, Breakfast was great, lots to chose from. Staff are very helpful and polite. The hotel is at the top of a steep hill, we enjoyed the walk each day into the centre of Prague, which was beautiful. We thought the hotel was situated perfectly, with lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance.

This is a lovely hotel. We stayed here very last minute as our flight home had been cancelled and the next available flight was 3 days later! The room was very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was very nice and plentiful. The location is perfect for the monastery area, the castle and the Petrin Tower. It's a downhill walk to Charles Bridge and the other side of the river and then up hill all the way back but you can either get your steps in or pay a small amount to get a tram back!

Perfect place in an ancient monastery. Outstanding feeling. The room was big and comfortable with free tea and coffee. The staff is the best I encountered. Very nice and helpful. There was also a minibar (that we didn’t use). It might come handy if you have a crave for something. There are restaurants a few steps from the hotel front entrance. There is also a brewery next to the hotel. The breakfast provides everything you need. All the ingredients are fresh and not reused! We enjoyed it very much!!! If we come to Prague again we will absolutely come to this hotel.
