Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Thank you for nice memories from this stay. Everything was perfect. Really nice and helpful staff - you can really feel the atmosphere of the family-run guest house. Rooms were super clean. Breakfasts were delicious!! We recommend it!

Breakfast was good and tasty. Location is about 15 min walk from city center. Small but lovely Terrace. The best thing was the super friendly hosts, we have got help and requests quickly answered always with a great smile!

The beds were a little too hard for our liking - maybe could be improved with a softer mattress topper. Otherwise it was all great.
Friendly staff, out of town so quiet (although a bit of a walk). Simple but tasty breakfast with delicious fresh baked goods.

Location required quite a walk either next to main road or otherwise quite some altimeters to reach the old town or city centre.

We came to Cesky Krumlov just for one night on our way back from vacation in Croatia. The city is beautiful. Same as Penzion Onyx. It is beautifully furnished and decorated. You can really see attention to details. It is very clean and tidy. The hosts are exceptional as well. No problem with our request to arrive late. Everyone smiling. Breakfast was delicious and diverse. Although we didn't stay for long we were really happy with the stay. It definitely exceeded our expectations.

Couldn't stay longer as we were travelling on.
We found the accommodation to be comfortable and with really friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was varied and of good quality. It took about 12min easy walk to reach the old town. Secure Parking was available on site. We would stay again. Family run and highly recommended.

Not about the pension directly but it is pretty isolated on a side national road and there is no single shopping opportunity around.
Very cosy. Silent. Excellent breakfast. Clean. But don't forget this is a pension run by pretty people like 15 - 20 min walking distance to down town. If you want to see everything quickly and want to be in center choose another place.

Nothing bad in this hotel. What I didn't like was that I could secure my holiday just for 3 nights to stay here, and I couldn't try the boating at river, to enjoy the staying in this Cesky Krumlov.
We love this pension, because of a lot of points. Kind hotel staffs incl. one cute Japanese Shiba dog, well-prepared rooms, the scene from the window is mostly green with the voices of tweeting birds, location is also good, just 10 min. by foot from the old city of Cesky Krumlov, 3 min. by car to the supermarket, gas station, etc for daily purchasing. Every morning, you can wake up with the tasty scent of newly baked bread, and every breakfast, different home-made bread is served, worthy to taste. My daughter, 9 years old is missing the stay in that hotel because she played with the dog there so long, my wife is missing the breakfast there.

A bit out of old town, but not too much. An old town can be reached in 15 minutes by walk. If you do not fell like walking you call a cab which costs 4€ only.

The room was very clean, everything was very well organised and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was fresh and tasty and the staff were friendly and polite as well. Great value for the money! Cesky Krumlov is a beautiful city worth visiting.
