    “Every member of staff smiled or greeted us and we felt warmly welcomed. The hotel itself is an attractive building, set in hectares of parkland. We enjoyed a sunny evening walk by the Elbe. After our walk, we had a beer on the terrace overlooking the gardens. The guy in the bar chatted to us and made recommendations. The high-ceilinged restaurant is impressively airy and the steaks were perfectly cooked. Our bedroom was large, clean and comfortable with a good shower (over the bathtub). We slept well and then enjoyed a breakfast (extra charge and worth it) with a very wide selection. I recommend the Bircher muesli. Claudia on reception chatted to us as we checked out. When she found out that we were heading for Meissen, she said we would enjoy the Dorint Parkhotel there. Thank you Claudia - we chose to stay there and enjoyed that too.”

    “Positioned right next to the Magdeburg Hauptbahnhof the hotel was central to most things whether it be transport, shopping, restaurants and bars. The Cathedral is very close by, as is the Natural, Historical and Art Museum which is well worth a visit also. The hotel is a short walk from the River Elbe where you can take a number of paths along the banks. The staff were very friendly at the hotel.”
