Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I was accused of being smoking and I do not smoke. This was being done by someone closeby my room, and the pipes were taking it to my bedroom. The breakfast and reception could also be better.
The hotel is really close to a train/subway station, which is so handful.

Many things in the room were broken, the door itself was broken. The heating was very weak, the room was very cold. There was only one dim light so the room was never fully lit.

Paid parking, double bed was 2 singles put together. A double bed should be a double bed. No flip flops for using in bathroom and room.

It's certainly not a 4 stars chain hotel for long stays. However, the one of the main reasons I selected this hotel is because of the price and the nearest S Wedding station (direct line to Messe Berlin).
This hotel is handy for the local events (Concerts/Fairs) as has good transport links. It's a quite "grotesque" residential area so I would not recommend the restaurants or the bars in the vicinity. It's about 3 minute walk to the nearest U or S station. I did not have any breakfast as I have to go earlier. However, the one of the main reasons I selected this hotel is because of the price and the nearest S Wedding station (direct line to Messe Berlin).

- no heater in the bathroom - it was quite cold - I tried to contact the hotel before my arrival - despite several attempts (phone, booking.com inmail) to no avail - dirty curtains, flush components - the only toiletries are shower gel, not even soap at the sink - reception is not 24/7
Good location - very close to underground and S-bahn station; lots of shops and eateries (although rather not the better restaurants); Staff allowed me to check in earlier without a problem as there was a room available

It was not possible to close the door at the shower and at the entrance of the bathroom

it was boiling hot with a penguin aircon that made a lot of noise, barely cooled and required leaving the window open. the neighbourhood was full of sketchy people.

Room I stayed in looked run down. The bed was fine, but generally everything else was very basic. Compared to other cities I have stayed in for the same price, this was definitely not value for money.
Location was fine for what I needed. Check-in/out was smooth, and instructions were clear. Pleasant surprise when hotel staff tidied up my room.
