The sofa bed was not comfortable to sleep on, and the rooms were dated. The rooms had an connecting balcony, but our two rooms had another room in between, so we could not sit outside without bothering other guests.

It was very clean, and the staff was friendly. The bathroom was nice and updated. Very good location.

Hotel Merian Rothenburg is a charming hotel in a beautiful historic building, but the rooms inside have been nicely renovated and updated. There’s no air conditioning, but when we stayed, the evening weather was cool and pleasant. A fan was provided in the room, though we didn’t need to use it. The hotel is located just a short 10-minute walk from the old town, which was very manageable. It’s a great choice for those traveling by car, as there’s free parking available. The breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of options.

The wooden gap between the beds but this is being picky… we slept well though

Located on the edge of the old town, easily to find driving to town. The staff were very friendly … the room was neat & tidy. Closely located to a service station with an expensive subway… we left before breakfast so didn’t get to experience it.

Parking was sometimes challenging, but we were there during Easter holiday season. No AC, so it would have been harder to stay comfortable if it was later in the year even with the fan, and there may not have been enough of those to go around for all guests.

Room was up to date and larger than expected. It had enough outlets for our needs. Staff were very nice and responsive to our needs including providing gluten free bread for my wife and a special toaster. Provided a fan when it got warmer. Fixed a broken shower hose immediately. We felt very welcomed even with occasional language barriers.

Our room was on the street side, and during week days, after 6AM, there is a lot of heavy traffic - you could hear the trucks, even with ear plugs. The headboard of the bed was made of some synthetic material that smelled like plastic, I could smell it on the pillow as well.

It looks really nice, new and modern. The rooms are big, with plenty of storage space, and the bathroom is new, clean, good ventilation, with a big modern shower and well isolated (sound wise) from the rest of the room. Even taking a shower would not make that much sound in the room. The room also has blinders. The staff is friendly, responsive and english speaking. My wife enjoyed very much one of the multiple cheese assortments (with nuts and honey) at breakfast. 10 minutes walking to the old city, with a supermarket and a bakery near by (2 minutes). On the way to the city there are other supermarkets and bakeries you can stock-up at.

The option for a “extra large double bed” is misleading. The hotel only offers single beds that can be close to each other. Still there’s a gap in the middle.

The hair dryer was broken, luckily the receptionist hasn't got off work and we got a replaced one. The furniture in the room is old but acceptable, as long as the cleaning is reliable.

Exactly the same as the pictures. Great breakfast, great staff. Not too far from the old town. Parking is convenient, just make sure the place you park belongs to the hotel. Super good with the elevator!

We didn’t have hot water in the shower one of the days.

The staff were great. Breakfast was really good and we were under 10 minutes walking to the centre. We enjoyed our stay.

Nothing really , if I wanted to be really picky the shower was small and the beds too soft. It wouldn’t put me off staying there again .

The TV was not positioned across from the sofa.

The location was good, within easy walking distance of the train and Rothenberg. It had a cool breeze, was modern and full of light. It was also a good retreat away from the confines of the city walls.

The location is just outside the historical district, and it is about 15mins walk to the old town center. The hotel has several free-parking spaces, and the host was very nice and helpful. The included breakfast was great with plenty of choices.

Decor was a little tired and air conditioning would have helped.

This was a 3 star hotel. It was comfortable and above all clean. It was not air conditioned but an electric fan was provided. This was very important as we stayed when the outside temperature was 35 +. The breakfast was excellent as were the staff..
