Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Entry code for check in impersonal and no staff onsite until the wine bar opened, no communal facilities except the wine bar, 'restaurant' is only a tapas bar, refurbishment more about style than function (eg shower dangerously slippery, towels placed in a box in the bedroom)
Position was very good, exceptionally clean, mattress was very good and we slept well, wi-fi worked well, breakfast excellent

Room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. It's the best bed I have ever slept in in a hotel. Felt like sleeping in a warm and dry cloud. Staff were friendly, helpful and made you feel at home.

My stay at this hotel was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were the most beautiful and well-equipped I have ever stayed in. The location in the city center and near the shopping street was perfect for exploring the area. The local breakfast served was delicious, especially the coffee. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, particularly during breakfast and check out. The ladies working there were outstanding and made me feel very welcome. The hotel was sparkling clean and had all the amenities I could ask for. Thank you for the amazing stay, I will definitely be coming back in the future.

Make sure you are ok with the Check-in time or that you let your bags at the train station. I arrived earlier at the hotel as I usually let my bag at the reception and go explore the city. But there was no reception on that day so I couldnt let my bag anywhere.
The bed was incredibly comfortable, the shower was incredible, the breakfast delicious, it was perfect.

Excellent stay. Located in the old city in the heart of Wernigerode. Beautiful place and building. Rooms are cozy and spacious, nicely designed. Very well renovated. Breakfast was very good with lots of things to choose from, freshly prepared eggs. We would recommend and come back for sure.

Wish the hot water temperature was warmer.

Very few vegetarian breakfast options and no coffee in the room, only tee.
The room was modern and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is ideally situated.

wifi is not stable; there is no designated loading zone so if all spots are taken it is hard to unpack the car. We did easily park in an inexpensive lot about 8minute walk through town.
Loved this little inn...perfect. The design, staff, breakfast, comfortable beds, wine bar, quietness, location all is fantastic. We walked easily to the Christmas market. Would highly recommend and stay again.

Parking is a bit difficult. Try to find a spot before you come to the hotel.
The location straight in the city center. View in some rooms is very good.

Long term parking at parking garage 600m from hotel: 12 euro/day.
Great hotel, beautiful modern room. Very good breakfast. Nice location in center of village.

No manned reception, no minibar. And small issue with mirror in bathroom being too far away to use properly
V central, lovely room with spacious bathroom . Great to have in-house wine bar- tho it wasn’t open on the day we needed it.

The staff doesn't speak English so communication was a bit difficult. But we managed to understand each other and staff was very polite to help us 😊
The room was very clean and bed was super comfortable. Our room was ready before check in time so we could check in earlier which was very convenient for our further activities.
