At 1st the staff at front desk swiped 47480 euros instead of 474.80 euros; luckily i was using a preloaded forex card so it didnt have that balance. Then they blocked twice the amount for my stay. I used a company forex debit card and in just 3 days they blocked a huge amount. Beware before you give them you credit card and make sure you warn them!

The location is perfect if you are a tourist or for a business trip. The hotel is clean Quite a few options for vegans at the restaurant below.

I had booked a single room, and the bed was a little on the slim side.

- Friendly staff - Quiet room - Best possible location. Arriving as a single female traveller late at night, Hannover train station can be daunting. It was nice to walk into a warm, welcoming hotel lobby just across from the train station, with friendly staff. - Freebie minibar (beer, juice, water). This never happens at other places, so I was extra happy.

Hotel Kaiserhof is just opposite Hannover central station. There are plenty of shops and food places in an underground passageway to the station. There was a slight problem with our first night's stay and for that the hotel upgraded us to a larger room. Drinks in the mini-bar were free during our entire stay. The staff at the reception (Matteo and Francesca) were friendly at all times and always willing to help. We were in Hannover for the Christmas markets and there was one in the Bahnhofplatz. The walk to the Old Town Christmas markets was about 10 minutes.

The shower wasn’t very warm.

The room was clean and cozy and the bed very comfortable. The staff was really nice and helpful. They let me check in as soon as the room was ready and not wait until 3pm and they promptly printed my boarding pass free of charge. The free mini bar was a lovely addition and breakfast was great.

Full amount pre-authorized on the card for an entire month after check-in, (and not released at check-out). The shower is nice but the water pressure is quite low. The hairdryer was very weak.

The minibar was nice, free and refilled daily. Internet connection fast and reliable. The apartment was clean and the staff was very helpful! The bed was comfy. The location is really perfect/central.

Central location near to the railway station has its pros and cons, especially when near also to the police station - street noise and police cars are to be heard often, incl. during nights. Nothing to do about it in rooms facing the station square. Some of the furniture in the room had certainly seen better times, but it is understood that renovations cannot be done each couple of years. Definitely no major issues to complain of.

The hotel is perfectly located on the central railway station square and close to everything in the city center. For car travellers there are a couple of public parkings nearby (5 min walk, 18 E/day) and also the possibility to stop right in front of the hotel for a short while to un/load luggage. The rooms are comfortable and of enough space, while the minibar fridge at no extra charge was certainly a pleasant surprise and was really appreciated. Windows allow for different ventilation options, which was really good for a mild summer period. Overall a place to recommend.

There was nothing that wasn’t perfect for a great stay!!

The staff at Kaiserhof worked as an amazingly efficient team, nothing was ever any trouble, they were always happy & obliging! The Brunnenhof restaurant is 5 star in all respects, so much so that we dined there 3 of our 5 night stay! Their breakfasts, included in our booking, were superb with varied choices, good coffee & smiling service!

- location: due to the proximity of the railway station square and of the restaurants/bars area things can get a bit noisy during the weekend evenings/nights - furniture a bit outdated - hallway carpets need some cleaning
