Well, this is a hostel. Even if the cleaning staff comes one a day, keeping the kitchen and the bathroom clean is the shared responsibility of those living together. Sometimes this may fail to work.

The hosts are very friendly, helpful and solution-oriented, and kind - one feels like home. Thank you once again for your kindness. The facilities are thought through: the sockets are at bed, and one has in the room everything one needs. The rooms are cosy and clean.

The building was at the 5th floor and has no elevator. But the view from the balconies and Windows were really Nice. When I arrived i didnt get the right Key, and had to wait 90 minutes before they came and gave them to me. They were easy to contact and ask for help, Just a bit difficult to fix the problem imidietly. The placement is fine, quiet neighborhood. Not too far from the central city. I enjoyed my stay

Well connected by tram. Mannheim Hbf is at walking distance. Owner is polite and easily accessible. The biggest positive is that it’s right next to the Rhine (search for Waldpark) and the sunsets are beautiful! The rooms and common areas were well-maintained and tidy.

Nice room in a quiet neighbourhood but close to transport and shops, staff were all very friendly and helpful. Equipped kitchen with dishwasher was handy. Good value for money.

Our room was on the top floor of the tall building - we did not have a lot of luggage, but this could be a challenge (as there is no elevator). When booking with a lot of luggage maybe make sure to request one of the rooms in the basement, that would be more easily accessible with luggage. :) We purchased the breakfast voucher - in the end it did not give a big saving (however it is a convenient place very close by and on the way to the train station, so it would be a place to be recommended).

My husband and I loved this place! :) We enjoyed the concept of sharing an apartment with other guests (we do not mind to have shared bathrooms and a shared kitchen) - it gave it a very homey feel, a bit more like staying with friends than staying in a hotel, yet way more luxurious than a hostel. All shared spaces were very clean, well equipped and well looked after. It is a beautiful old building with an impressive staircase, and in a very good shape. Our room was lovely decorated, with a comfortable bed and all necessities. We could imagine spending a long-term stay in a place like this. We arrived late for the check-in, but thanks to the good communication of the staff it was an easy self-check-in. The staff was at all times easily reachable (over phone) and super nice to communicate with.

The flat was very clean, everything had clear instructions. The bed was comfortable enough and had a very homey feeling to it. The neighborhood is central enough, yet also very calm and quiet. I was very happy with my stay!

The worst part about the place is very thin walls, definitely wouldn’t recommend for couples. Also was annoyingly woken up both days/nights I slept there, once at 11 by vacuum cleaner for 15+ minutes and then at 3am when I needed to wake up 5am for my flight by loud noises again. For the price I would expect a more private/relaxed atmosphere. The shared bathroom wasn’t a huge inconvenience but someone kept leaving the toilet seat up and the seat had pubic hair on it! Maybe a more stern sign would discourage men from leaving the shared toilet like this.

The room was spacious and clean. Checking in and out very simple, I ended up not meeting staff once because my arriving and leaving times were so early in the morning. The location has good proximity to everywhere I wanted and needed to go in Mannheim, very close to tram station. Mattress was quite comfortable and I liked the ceiling windows and different lighting options in the room.

There is share bathroom you have to go one floor down to get to the bathroom if you are on the second floor. Also the flooring are so squeaky and makes a noise.

Very well located, clean and comfortable. However, the highlight was the manager - one of the nicest, most helpful people I have ever met in decades of travel. I was having an unbelievably difficult few days of travel, and he helped me in so many ways, including staying up past midnight to check me in and lending me a charger (which he even let me take with me for the rest of my trip and post back to him). I have met a lot of very nice people in hotels over the years, but none as generous and helpful as here.

The mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable though this might just be a very subjective thing. It can get quite noisy with other guests in the same apartment especially since it is an older type of building where noise travels a bit more easily
