Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

A really well-appointed, centrally located hotel, with friendly, helpful staff. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. Easy to use shower with plenty of hot water and good quality toiletries. Top notch breakfast with a very good choice. Easy access to rooms and out of hours.

AustraliaThe wifi was terrible and for an old couple who have dodgy joints, the mattress was too hard. I’m sure it would be ok for most people.
Hotel was well located and an easy walk from the station. The room was spacious and the staff was friendly and helpful.

JapanThere were no specific negatives.
A classy hotel conveniently located between the main station and the old town. The room is maintained clean so I could stay really comfortably. The wide variety of the breakfast buffet, including warm dishes was impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly and kind. The accommodation fee is not so cheap, but I think the stay in Hotel zum Nord am Anger is worth it for the price.

DenmarkThe welcome (1/5): Upon my arrival at Hotel Zumnorde at 22:45h, I encountered a rather disappointing welcome experience. Despite having informed the hotel of my late arrival through Booking and receiving confirmation that it wouldn't be an issue, I found myself standing at the main entrance, repeatedly ringing the bell with no response. Unfortunately, my phone was experiencing service issues, preventing me from calling the hotel reception. It was only thanks to my sister, who was in another country, that contact with the hotel reception was established. This was highly inconvenient, especially given the late hour and my fatigue.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Zumnorde and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel's prime location, impeccable service, and luxurious amenities left me thoroughly impressed. Location (5/5): The hotel's central location provided easy access to all the major attractions in the city. It was convenient without being noisy, creating a perfect balance. Accommodation (5/5): The rooms were elegantly designed, with a perfect blend of modern amenities and classic charm. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Service (4/5): The staff were exemplary. Breakfast (5/5): The breakfast offered at Hotel Zumnorde showcased a variety of dishes, each prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Overall, I would highly recommend Hotel Zumnorde to anyone visiting the city.

FranceCardboard bedside tables... nice idea, but ultimately they add a cheap feel to the otherwise lovely furnishings. Underground garage will only fit cars of up to 1m75 (so not one with a roof box, like ours) and costs 19e/night, which seems expensive. Nearby public city carparks (12eur per 24hs) solve the issue. Checkout by 10am seems a little early for a holiday apartment - would've wished for an extra hour to pack, tidy up etc.
We stayed in the hotel's furnished holiday apartment (FeWo) 'Sachsen'. The apartment had every facility/amenity we could think of plus way more (except a freezer). It has a superb layout, two bedrooms, soft clean carpets, spacey and clean bathroom, extra toilet, a living room and a balcony/terrace with a commanding view over the hotel's inner garden courtyard. It also had a selection of books and board games (Monopoly Erfurt edition), Bluetooth speakers. For the few days we stayed there, it felt like home. The very friendly receptionist was always there to help. The hotel is centrally located only about 10mins' walk to Kraemerbrucke or the Cathedral (Dom). On some days, you can hear carillon bell music played live from the nearby church tower. Fantastic.
