Choice of cheese and cold cuts at breakfast very limited. Furniture in rooms for midgets. Part of metal bed loose and fell on us. Free standing bathtub unstable No elevator. Certainly Hotel not recommendable for guest with moving impairment. Besides some very eager but equally junior, unexperienced staff, no senior host or manager to be seen. 1 nt we were only guests in hotel, staff told us that they were leaving and there would be no night shift staff in-house. We checked and front and back doors were locked till morning. No escape route in emergency!!!

The bathroom seemed not so clean , the style in the room was uncertain, there was no mini-bar , the noise from the inner-court rooms is annoying, especially at 3 in the morning, when you should be sleeping. Also we heard some noise from the interior parking, somebody leaving very early, he slamming doors etc. Also , there s not a phonic isolation between rooms, or between rooms and hallway. Also, very expensive for what we expected. No A/C !

Breakfast was good , quality food ,the breakfast service was very good. The beds were comfortable , there is no air-conditioning. Beware for the hot days.

Very nice old fashioned hotel in the center of town. The rooms are decorated in a castle style but with all equipment you need. Parking is in nearby public garage so don’t try to drive to the hotel address - there is a pedestrian zone. Good served breakfast. We didn’t eat in the hotel restaurant, there are many options in nearby town center.

The Hotel is a real piece of history! Every room seems to be unique and the hotel is right in the center of the city. And the included breakfast is perfect (good croissant) and served at the table.

What a delightful little hotel in the very city centre of beautiful Bayreuth, next to the famous opera house. It oozes history, culture and Belle Epoque elegance. Straight out of a Sherlock Holmes or Agatha Christie movie. Beautiful! Will certainly be back!

The clock radio in the room didn’t work properly. It was impossible to set the time or the alarm. Radio reception was nonexistent.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

Excellent place to explore Bayeruth, all major attractions within walking distance and Margraf Opera just nearby. Hotel is located in historical building with charming interior. Rich and tasty breakfast served a la carte. Nice and helpfull staff.

It is the responsibility of the Hotel management to ensure the personnel is trained and knows, so with the following I clearly don't blame the poor young ladies trying hard I think. BUT.....if you call on your arrival where to park the car (since you chose the hotel having a garage) or how to find the Hotel and the person on the other line doesn't understand a word in German and has no one to call and help, this is bad (after 5 min trying we switched to English and where progressing)! Or the next morning for breakfast, the lady just doesn't know / understands (language and culture) what to do and brings you precisely what you mention instead of a proper breakfast (a slice of cheese and sausage, that's it - so you need to explain precisely what you want and how much of each to complete your breakfast) - so as a Hotel manager, why don't you simply offer a buffet like any other hotel, why do you leave your personnel totally alone (I felt so sorry for that young lady, since you saw that she tried)? And the Frontdesk - an older German lady, likely of the owner family...as rude as it can be...so no wonder...yes, the Hotel business is perhaps tough these day. The more important would be to stand out provide good service and really help and support the personnel to be successful instead of leaving them alone and create a BAD experience that makes you never want to come again and tell everyone to stay away as far as they can from this house....

This is a delightfully old fashioned hotel in the centre of Bayreuth. The list of former guests is impressive. The hotel restaurant serves exceptionally good meals!

This is an historic hotel and the history is evident everywhere one looks. This is very appealing to me. Our room was really beautiful- a huge bed with a canopy and decorated in garnet and gold tones- very regal. The bathroom was exquisite in Victorian style with a triangular bath and an amazingly strong shower.
