Bed was hard as a rock and the hotel staff that checked us in did not seem to be enjoying his job when he checked us in.

4 minute walk from both spas. Great Thai restaurant on the backside of the hotel. Beautiful location.

I would add one cushion to the bed, and maybe a kettle on the room, but nothing else.

Very good location, big rooms, and comfortable beds. Bathroom was clean, and everything was quite nice. Definitely I would recommend this place.

Some staff at the entrance was a bit rude (Andreina). Safe deposit box was out of service and it looks it has been in that way for long time since there was an announcement in front of it.

Excellent location very well connected via public transport to move around and visit other Black forest's towns. Very spacious room and bed.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Nice room and the location is right in the centre of the city. Very clean and lots of services available. I slept well, the bed is king size and very comfortable.

The building is rather old, some stairs lead to the lobby (elevator only at that level). Lights in the hallway were dark. Staff seemed not very motivated.

Checkin and Checkout were very easy. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel is located very close to the city center and the Carcalla Therme.

If there was any fault I had to highlight, it would be that they don't provide tea/coffee in the room - they were happy to lend me a kettle upon request but it would then have been great to have tea bags, cups and milk in the room, which I went and bought at a nearby shop - and also the wifi signal was a little bit weak which caused it to sometimes drop out. But these things didn't affect my stay much at all. Overall it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The hotel was in a great location right near the centre of the city and only a block away from the Thermen (both Caracalla and Friedrichsbad). The hotel room was large and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. They also give you a ticket that you can put towards a free hour at Caracalla (buy two hours, get one free) and various other things around town.

The room was not very warm, since the heater was not working properly. The duvets provided were too small. Very old and outdated furniture

Lighting - both in the corridors (poor!) and in the rooms. A bedside reading spotlight as not to disturb other person in room is now standard in most hotels.

Practical and large room in a super location. Great breakfast served by super friendly staff. Parking made available and very convenient.

Steps up to reception. Decor and bathroom a bit dated. Would have liked a kettle. But vfm more than compensates for these minor points.

Great location 3 min walk to thermal baths. Comfortable extra large double bed - best night’s sleep of our trip! Friendly helpful staff. Secure underneath hotel cheaper than local garage though spaces limited. Short walk to great restaurants and bars. We love Leo’s bar and La Casserole restaurant. Fridge in room.

Bit of a faff checking in as I'd had to do two bookings to add an extra night as our flight was changed and we arrived a day earlier. Was initially told we would have to change rooms after first night, but common sense prevailed when I pushed for a reason why and we were allowed to stay in same room. I mean, I don't know what the issue was as both rooms were of a same class so it wasn't as though they needed our particular room back the following day.

Lovely hotel, second time we'd stayed and it didn't disappoint. Room clean and well kept. Quiet despite overlooking the street. Breakfast plentiful and excellent. Staff helpful in giving me non dairy milk for my coffee. Also caring towards my daughter and willing to not charge for her breakfast on the morning she was unwell and only wanted a glass of juice. Requests such as extra pillows and water in the room dealt with quickly. Excellent location near to baths, shops and Christmas market. Will come back this Christmas!
