Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

This particular hotel is quite large so my walk from the elevator to my room was quite long.
Great location, friendly staff. It was my first time in a Motel one, so i was not fully aware of their concept of small rooms but great furnishing. Overall i had a pleasant stay. I did enjoy the interior design and their breakfast was actually quite nice. The breakfast prince range is around 17,50EUR but it was convenient and came with some excellent bread options.

Breakfast ended at 10:00, and I was reminded of this twice when I went to the coffee machine at 10:10.
The hotel’s location is very convenient. The lobby is very beautiful, with plenty of large, comfortable sofas where you can spend some time. The room is comfortable. There are two categories, the larger room has an armchair.

People would have liked a coffee in the rooms or one free for guests in the lobby.
Close to the train station and the old town and the river. The staff were helpful.

The hotel is well-located for those wanting to stay in the Altstadt, but considering the price, I’d prefer a slightly more affordable option a bit farther out — still within walking distance.
Excellent hotel — I’d definitely stay again. The coffee break was fantastic.

Google maps will direct you to the wrong side of the building for parking. We had to get in the car and drive around several blocks (one way streets)—fortunately, my husband was able to stay in the car while I ran in to ask. Another woman was waiting at the front desk to ask about the same thing, so it appears to be a common issue.
Convenient location, friendly staff, easy check in, clean and comfortable rooms.

Perhaps a few more room amenities would be nice.
Well managed hotel in a great central location of Frankfurt. Motel One delivers on its promises - efficient check in, everything is functional and in perfect condition. For the price it's very minimalistic but the comfort makes up for it. Check out at 12 pm only was a big asset for me as well.

The hotel itself is very nice looking. However I felt that the room amenities were lacking. I would have liked an actual glass glass for drinking and for the appearance of the hotel I thought there would be a fridge.
The location was excellent. Close to the old town and the river. Plenty of places to eat close by. Breakfast was good.

There is no mini bar, no water cattle, warmer radiators, the room area so so small,
Because I am an interior designer, I like the hotel designs and the decorations very much, and all the staff was very helpful.

The room was quite small and not much room for baggage. It would have been good to have a fridge in the room especially through summer. You could put your drinks in the fridge at the reception but that is not very convenient when you want to have a glass of cold drink.
Excellent location in the old part of Frankfurt. Although facing the street you could not hear the traffic and I liked that you could open the window to allow fresh air into the room, being in the 4th level I did not worry about anyone breaking in.

I wish their large parking had EV charging. At this day and age all hotels should have facilities for EV charging.
The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a good breakfast and a well-equipped room. The overall experience was positive, and the accommodation met our needs.
