Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room was very near to a local busy main road and railway station so was kept awake during the night We were there during the recent 38 degrees heat wave and there was no air conditioning and the room had two lots of ear plugs supplied and we quickly realized why the both the beer and ear plugs were there to help you sleep through the very noisy night which was a real shame
Car parking straight outside the hotel was excellent Ideally located for a walk into Ulm to local bars, restaurants, historical town and the River Danube water side Staff very friendly and knowledgeable and greeted with two bottles of free beer on arrival...a very nice touch and very welcome after a long journey

United KingdomIn a slightly melancholy corner of town on a main road. Room was no more than functional. It's a shame no kettle or teabags were provided in the room; apart from the free coffee I got on arrival, you do actually have to go downstairs and pay cafe prices for coffee if you want one. Breakfast was not especially varied (though, as I say, pretty cheap!).
Very friendly staff on reception. I arrived early morning on the night train from Slovenia, and although officially I was not expected to check in for hours, they allowed me to check in as soon as the room was done, and made me a free coffee while I waited. Later, they printed out an opera ticket for me too. Quite good value and quite good location not far from the station and an easy walk from the Minster. Breakfast cheaper than in many German hotels at 10 euros.

SwitzerlandThe room faced the afternoon sun, and this resulted in a very hot room. With Gobal Warming going to stay it is imperative for the installation of an air-conditioner. I reported twice that the toilet seat was very loose. But no action was taken.
Nice architecture and location. Breakfast was add-on and very reasonable. It was a good German Breakfast. Everything worked, incl. the Lift.

United StatesMy only comment is that the train line is very near and the noise might bother some. But not a problem with the room windows closed, and it did not bother me at all.
Extremely nice and helpful staff. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. The hotel is in easy walking distance to Ulm Innenstadt and also Neu Ulm. The elevator worked well.

AustriaOh, there was one thing, there was renovation behind the building and it would have been fair to tell us as large group holding a meeting that there might be hours with noise from the constructions work. I recommend to direct the smells from the kitchen a bit away from the entrance, it smells good, but if you encounter it first you thing you think you enter the very kitchen although you enter the lobby ;-), maybe it is my nose ;-). Indeed, a nice place by the way, all insignificant shortcomings in view that you do not leave your money to some international chain but to ahard working family.
The room was cosy and had all necessary items. The key-based entry worked well. Indeed, the place is very good for a jogging run in the morning, it is on a very quiet place, however, the entire Ulm is quiet... So, also easily reachable by walk from the train station, liked it very much. The kitchen is very good and exceeded my expectations, we had an event for many days on the site and it was very good.

AustraliaNothing - it was all perfect.
Great stay for cyclists - they have a locked bike room and a lift to the upper floors. The reception staff were great, the room modern, the wifi good, the bed comfy and there was plenty of hot water. Town is only a 5 minute walk and Ulm has a lot to see in its historic altstadt - it even has the old town walls to walk along the Danube. We stayed two nights and would love to stay again. Breakfast was excellent both mornings.

HungarySorry I must share this because we actually have experience to compare: In this price range, we'd had better decorated, better equipped (minifridge, kettle), less echo-y, and quieter rooms on our 3 week trip around Germany. Also it's great that you can step out the window to a big (shared) terrace but in the summer that big concrete surface quickly heats up the room too.
We had a big room with a fan and a safe, and our own bathroom that was spacious! The staff were really kind and welcoming!

United KingdomThe hotel's restaurant was closed, and the breakfast was fairly basic and perhaps a bit overpriced. The hotel is close to the railway, and some people might be disturbed by the noise of the trains during the night - shutting the double-glazed window helped, but I preferred it open on a warm summer night.
Ulm is a small town and this hotel is only a few minutes walk from the station, and also from the old part of town where there are lots of good restauants. There is also a park nearby leading down to the Danube.
